We were recommended this restaurant while staying at the nearby Hotel Altora. We were the only British people in there I don't think they get too many tourists in December. We passed through the first room which is a tapas bar, into the back room where there is the restaurant. All in Spanish, the menu was varied and imaginative. The staff were friendly, welcoming and most helpful. We had a lovely meal at a reasonable price.Highly recommended.

We were travelling on the motorway, looking for a convenient place to stop over for a quick lunch break. Lucky we chose this place, as it was an incredible surprise. Good restaurants are infrequent in the area, and this new establishment really exceeded our expectations. The concept of the restaurant revolves around long roasting in their special oven. The flavors are amazing, the meats incredibly tender. The pork ribs are a must try! This is rustic food at its best, and it's also incredible value for money. They also brew their own beer in the bar, although I didn't get the chance to taste it as I found out too late. The staff are really helpful and caring, they do ask for genuine feedback as they have pride for their food. Such an innovative concept in this area of Spain is a touch of fresh air!
My wife and I went for lunch to Medranoâs last October 7. We decided to sit outside, as the weather was very pleasant. Their âMenu del diaâ (actually âsemanalâ in the bill) was 10 euros per person, and it included first and second course, dessert and drink (wine, beer, mineral water or coffee). The fried fish (canât remember if they were sardines or anchovies) was delicious, and so was the beef steak. Our waitress, Maria Jose, was also very pleasant.
Simplemente desagradable...no hay más palabras. Groseros y maleducados. Camareros y esa cosa q se llamaba cocinero.Jamás recomendarÃa semejante sitio. Jamás. Lamentable experiencia

Jesús Marquina, a renowned Spanish pizza chef (with several international awards) has built an oasis a bit off the beaten path. He and his excellent and professional crew offer an extensive menu, with ingredients that no one could imagine that, together, could be so satisfactory (pomegranate, Greek yoghourt, partridge, marinated tuna, rocket) Their size is enormous, so a pizza could be perfectly shared by two. Everything is a tribute to La Mancha (land of excellent food and universal artists) Of course, the wine list is to die for. Grappa lovers? This is your place for sure. Some vintage grappas in their list are amongst the rarest in Spain. No need to worry if you are not fond of pizza. Other delicacies are served; for example, 'carpaccios', salads, home made pastas, rice dishes, roasted meats, desserts... Children are welcome and they have a special menu for them. I will come back.
