Nice terrace, very nice and helpful staff, just outside of Tsaravets Fortress. Food menu is generous, but it's mostly meat dishes. Had a great roasted lamb with liver risotto and green salad.

A very interesting restaurant and bar located on the hill. It's loaded with artifacts adding to the overall atmosphere which is charming and interesting. It's a great place for a respite for a drink or a bite to eat. The service is friendly. I had the Shopska salad and the ribs. It was more than enough.

Our guide and driver brought us to this traditional little restaurant after our visit to the lovely Museum house nearby. We found out that the English menu missed a few traditional dishes as the waiter later explained that tourists usually order certain dishes so they don't put in the more unusual ones. This was only after we had placed our orders, for me the popular 'tourist' choice of fried white fish in a light batter (8.80 leva) which was tasty enough. My friend's beef in a ceramic pot with potatoes, tomatoes and herbs (9.60 leva)was absolutely delicious. Both came in large quantities. We shared a pitta bread, freshly baked with a nice crust. The white wine was fruity and nice. Our guide and driver both had bean soup which they said tasted rather sour, so our driver re-ordered a chicken soup which he wasn't happy with either, but found the sausage (6 leva) acceptable. The staff was most friendly and obliging, didn't charge for the soups and knew some English, wishing us a nice day when we left.Quite enjoyed the traditional atmosphere of the outside tables though wished that patrons wouldn't smoke so much when others are still eating.

We were recommended Ego restaurant by the owner of our accommodation so Day 1 we went and had a great meal with good service. So we returned the next day and what a change. Poor service, very long wait for our meals that came separately about 20 minutes apart. With no apologies or explanations. It was late afternoon so not busy so we were extremely disappointed and with so many other great restaurants close by we wonât be returning.

Nice location, inside/outside seating, nice service, and a variety of foods to sample. It was traditional Bulgarian food, starting with tomato salad, soup, chicken stew, and bread.

The Hadji Nikoli Inn in Veliko Tarnovo is one of the most valuable specimen of the late Renaissance architecture in Bulgaria. It was built in 1858 and is declared a national antique and cultural monument of national significance. Following a long restorat
Absolutely dreadful! Ordered 2 starters and 3 main dishesPlus extra sidesOne main arrived with the 2 starters together with the side dishes.Consequently the main dish was expected to be consumed at the same time as the two family members eating their starters. This first main dish comprised of salmon (uncooked nearly raw) side vegetable dishes cold. Unable to eat A further main dish containing steak as its main element was also totally uncooked. Unable to be eaten!Complained to the waiting staff, and to their credit they discounted all the food eaten and ordered, and we were offered replacement main courses and desserts if so wished. However,we declined. On the positive side the waiting staff were exceedingly polite and apologized, and the third main dish was adequate and edible. Not their fault. Please replace your Chef NOW.

Original cuisine and meals prepared with love and passion!
This is one of the most astonishing culinary experiences we have ever had. The food is absolutely perfect. We've visited this restaurant two nights in a row and had over 10 dishes that were absolutely fascinating and delicious (yes, 10 because it was that good). Our waiter was one of the most kindest and thoughtful waiters out there. On the second night, he remembered our drink order and asked us beforehand if we're ordering the same. Keep in mind, this place is very crowded. Best waiter ever. The interior design is absolutely amazing, and the view from the terrace is perfection. Overall, best restaurant we have ever been to!

The hotel complex "Arbanashki Han" has a folklore tavern with a fireplace where a delicious food is served. Guests can use the quite outdoor garden or to enjoy a drink in the lobby-bar. There is a WI-FI in each part of the complex. "Arbanashki han" is 300
The food was excellent. We had three different lamb parts from grill (very tender), pork ribs (a bit burned but ok), meat ball (delicious), grilled vegetable (very good), wrapped cheese, mushroom in butter, and salad. The service was very attentive, polite, and pleasant. We sat in the garden just next to the children playground, so we can watch safely while waiting for food. Very nice place and very nice atmosphere. In total with 2 beer and 1 wine were paid 100 lv.
