I give lots of 5 stars, so it is now hard to differentiate. My word.....This restaurant is in a a league of its own. Great food, incredible value and lovely service and ambience. Superb pink tomato/tuna/asparagus starter, sublime rabbit in almond sauce and Devine marscopone desert. Husband loved his lamb ribs. Wine (great local red) included in EU31 per head so The Bill was Eu 62 for two. One reviewer I read said they drove for 4 hours to eat here.....I now know why. Book so you are not disappointed and get there early to grab a good table. Enjoy

We decided to do a day of hiking in Alquévar, knowing that the sights would be amazing, but we were amazed by our experience here! The service was incredible (great recommendations, friendly, attentive, and funny). But the food was seriously exquisite! Every plate! We ate rice caldoso with rabbit and snails, a salad that was unlike any other I have ever had (fresh green mix with jamón and strawberries), and a cheese with foie and caramelized onion panacotta to die for (and that was just to start). Later we ate pork serloin (the texture was like butter), bull ragout with orange and ginger, and lamb . We were also lucky enough to try the osobuco.. by now we were in heaven. The desserts were absolutely spectacular (the brownie is a must)! We're now planning our return (perhaps not eating anything for a couple of days first)! Totally recommendable! Sorry for the lack of photos of the other food ;) it was just too good to stop and pull out our phones!Thank you very much for your comment, and thank you very much for enjoying our restaurant. It has been a great satisfaction, that you have chosen our restaurant in your visit to Alquezar. And our conversation. Highlight your kindness, education and great sense of humor. Thanks, again.

Maybe it's just the end of the tourist season, but staff were offhand from the outset. I ordered an entrecote steak for which there was a 7euro surcharge, but when it arrived it was completely inedible - I could hardly cut it with a steak knife, let alone eat it.I complained, first to the waiter, then he brought out the manager, who then summoned the chef. The chef didn't speak much English in any case so it was all very silly, and I felt was designed to merely embarrass me in front of other diners. Eventually a replacement meal was served (lamb) which was fine, Then they had the audacity to still charge me the 7 euro steak supplement when the bill arrived. There are plenty of other restaurants in Alquezar, I suggest you choose one of them rather than risk having an embarrassing and expensive evening here.Gracias por su comentario

You have to go here just to laugh....the young male waiter literally threw the food down on our table. Clearly totally fed up of tourists and the pricing is a crazy tourist trap. Menu du jour says wine or water included ....we ordered sparkling water and when bill came were told that sparkling was extra EU2.50 ....ie we had no drink included at all!! EU 16 per head. Saying all this, view is breathtaking. My melon was fresh and my spag Bol was tasty. Tiramisu was none the worse for wear for being thrown onto across the table Guys, you could make a mint if you decided to smile at customers and go a little extra mile. Tourists are not from another planet just ordinary people visiting a beautiful place, Human beings who have worked hard to pay for their restful holiday lunch. Or maybe just rename this Fawlty Towers and start shouting at customers too.....we would come along to laugh...

Having had a few dishes elsewhere that were not quite as anticipated .... we valued knowing what we were choosing and were attracted to this little restaurant because its lengthy menu was translated into several languages including English! There are lots of tables outside, but there is also a little room inside upstairs which we used on our 2 nights in Alquezar. n the first night I chose melon and ham as a starter and was presented with an ENORMOUS slice of melon (not water melon, though it could have been for its size) that was delicious: we both chose this on our second night. The main courses were very reasonable, and we had Walls ice cream to finish. All in with a bottle of still water and a carafe of wine (but you might prefer a bottle off the card!) for just 13 euros each. It is not Egon Ronay dining, but it is excellent value.
