Find out what European restaurants to try in Almeria. Founded by the caliph of Cordoba, this Andalucian city on Spain’s southeast coast is a reminder of the region’s Muslim history. The Alcazaba, a massive fort, dominates the city and affords amazing views. Also worth experiencing are the cathedral and the Almeria Museum. East of the city is the rugged, desolate Cabo de Gata-Nijar coast, a protected area. To the west is the resort area of Roquetas de Mar, featuring vast beaches.

It's clearly a place popular with the locals and we were lucky to grab a table, so many were turned away after we arrived. The food was great (octopus, risotto, aubergine and veggies). Yes there were no English menus, but we survived, and would heartily recommend straying slightly away from the normal tourist spots.Thank you very much for your comment. We aim your appreciation on the menu in English. A greeting.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel receptionist and it was exactly what we were looking for.Amazing food, relaxed atmosphere, affordable, quiet place. We had 3 half dishes (enough food), including a shrimp fideo and a steak tartar. Everything recommended by our waiter and everything a delicious surprise. Even the wine was very good. The bill was 35⬠for two, quite inexpensive considering the experience.

Traditional local food well presented and served with a team able to cope with large numbers. The caves make a special setting, and guests should expect a very relaxed ambiance with generally very good food - although the attention to detail slips a little with a large group, and the meat tends to over cooking not under cooking. Service is gently paced - not crazy slow, but expect to chat between courses.

I was with a group of colleagues when visited this restaurant. The atmosphere inside is vibrant with mouth-watering food and the service was excellent. We started with a variety of Tapas then had a main course followed by deserts.I opted for the caramelised pork knuckles which were fantastic followed a death by chocolate cake which was delicious. The rib steak was chosen by a friend and looked amazing and huge.I do recommend this place

After visiting dozens of restaurants in AlmerÃa we came to this conclusion: If you really want to have great tapas and croquetas, this is the place. Traditional but still innovative and different. One big plus for the great service - they know how to make a customer feel welcomed!

We made a point of finding this restaurant as a result of excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. We weren't disappointed. The decor is smart and modern, and the food provides a modern twist on some traditional dishes, along with some new ones. There is an excellent wine list. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the service and attention we were given. Gazpacho was first class, calamities were very good, and we shared a main dish of cochinillo (suckling pig) crisply cooked in little pieces. When the waiter recommended a small portion of cheese to help us finish our very good Ribera del Duero winnow were not disappointed p we were served a manchego which was voted the world's best cheese (out of 2700 cheeses) at a UK cheese fair! And it was! Desserts were equally excellent, and with every dish the chef came out to check that we were satisfied. All in all a very good evening!

A unique restaurant in the heart of the Almeria countryside. Contemporary surroundings with delicious food, cooked using locally sourced products. Enjoy food from our a la carte menu or discover new flavours wit our sharing plates. A wide range of wines a
Chanced on this great restaurant by taking the wrong road to another place. Glad we made the mistake.Beautiful lunch in the shade of an orange tree, only sorry for the owner having to make frequent trips into the garden to present excellent dishes prepared with great style and care. Good choices for a lunch menu and very helpful for our vegan friend, nothing too much trouble. Being a late lunch we were able to spend the best part of two hours enjoying the meal.Would recommend visitors passing by in the region to call in, they will not be disappointed. We are also very happy that you made a little detour (mistake) whilst driving on the lovely quiet roads in Real Spain, rustic Andalucia in the interior of Almeria,The gardens are great for shade this time of the year and with a soft breeze make it an ideal place to dine and take in the ambience of the Spanish country side. Many of our customers now prefer to share dishes of the main menu as well as a selection of tapas. Therefore, we are adapting daily to our customer's wishes. To this extent; We are creating a new menu with a selection of everyone's favourite dishes and something new to try.The new menu will encourage the true "Spanish experience of family dining and sharing dishes" of slow food from our wood fired oven. We look forward to you dining with us in the not too distant future.Thank you again for visiting us, The team.P.s Members of "Albar customers Club" receive the best discounts and perks when we hold our events at the restaurante Albar, and always book direct at Hotel Casona Granado. In the Almerian hills of the interior of Rural Andalucia Rustic Spain. join "Albar customers Club"

Everything good you read about this place is true. It certainly doesn't look like the most salubrious location but the decor is imaginative, the people super friendly and the food is off the charts. Try the tortillas or tuna tataki/sashimi for something to remember.

I went to this nice Tapas Bar with friends yesterday and we had some really good Tapas here with some local wine. The place looks nice, the service was really good, a friendly waiter translated the menu for us and gave as some great suggestions of his own favorite dishes. They had reasonable prices for good quality food. On my next trip to AlmerÃa, I would go there again. Gracias por su reseña, un saludo de Jovellanos16 esperamos verlos pronto!!!!

We are an Italian start-up operating in the food's field. Our mission: spreading the authenticity of Italian's kitchen in an innovative and informal way.
A little restaurant, with a little terrace on the beach. Friendly staff and very good food. We all had pizza (2 with the 5 cereals dough) and we love it. Finally a real Italian Pizza. Dear Daniell, thank you so much for your review. Hope to see you again soon Best regards
