Reviews on European food in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Ajijic, a small idyllic town in Mexico, is the perfect setting to enjoy a quiet and relaxing holiday. Enjoy a night of lively music in the plaza of this picturesque town or enjoy a stroll along the lakeside path. Visit the colorful Chapala handicrafts market, or relax and enjoy lunch and a beautiful view at the Beergarden restaurant by the pier. If you’re traveling with children, take them to Christiania Park, right next to the market. At the park, they can play on the expansive lawn or on the playground. Take a day trip to the Casacadas de Agua, a favorite spot with the locals and a great place to spend with family. Climb the waterfalls or swim in sparkling pools at the base of the falls. Find a shady spot to enjoy the lunch you packed at your holiday rental or try a local delicacy at one of the many small restaurants in the area.

My wife and i are staying the month of February in Ajijic and passed this restaurant many times. Didn't have a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor so kind of ignored it. We went last night and am sorry it took so long. the food was delicious and creative. I saw on the menu fettuccine pesto with shrimp or chicken. i love and make pesto and thought i'd give it a try. It was not typical but in many ways better. They chopped alot of fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts and sauteed it then added to pasta. It was not classic pesto but light and extremely delicious. the Caesar Salad, pumpkin ginger soup, lasagna and tiramisu were also excellent. will definitely go back.

Delicious Meals with an Austrian, German, French, Austrian and Mexican touch. Nice setting where you can enjoy the Lakeside and Food. Fast and Kind Service.
After living in Germany,to be on the kind side, maybe this was International German food?We were the only people in the restaurant at the time, should have had better service. BTW, I like cats but not while eating..

We will be close Nov. 1 until Dec.5 ...no reason to compete with our towns annual fiesta and American Thanksgiving.. see you in Dec with new wines from Priorat. Little Ajijic has cheeses and wines you will not find anywhere else in Jalisco and an ambience
My husband and I frequent this establishment almost weekly! This is a place that you canât be bored with their offerings, as they are always changing. We began with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne (the month of July is 20% off of bottles of wine.) This week they featured the country of Spain. We ordered the beautifully presented cheese board which consisted of a very tasty chunk of Spanish Valdeón Blue Cheese, fresh figs and strawberries, cured olives, honey and a yummy baguette. We later enjoyed a full bodied bottle of red from the Rioja region. Service is always attentive and pleasant. These folks really want you to enjoy your visit here.Darryl and Gail, you two have been like family to Chez since we opened! Always supporting our special events, promoting us to other potential clients, just all around good people to know. We hope you never get tired of our offerings. We pledge to keep our menu fresh with new and interesting plates and wines .. again, THANK you for your review and your loyal patronage!

This must be the most inventive breakfast ever. Heavenly Eggs! An amazing breakfast dish with Bechemel sauce and an egg inside of a panko (?) type of covering. Delightfully light, flavorful, and simply amazing. The service at this establishment is always spot on with the two brothers making sure that everything is to your liking. A wonderful place to try for breakfast or dinner while in Ajijic!
