My friend from tourism sector offered me to taste the dishes here. Normally I check the recommendations by looking the food and environment of the restaurants to decide. But food photos are more important for me. When I saw the environment I really thought NO not this place, it is so touristic but, plates and foods YES, exactly this is the place what I look for local dishes and I was right. I was looking shirden and find here. It was delicious. We cook shirden (it is a part of the sheep stomach filled with rice and minced meat) in Turkey but here a little bit different but so tasty. If you know haggis Scottish dish, a different style of haggis. I love it with sauce. Also stroganoff casserole was delicious. We went

Amazing food One of the must visit places for grill lovers. We've heard this place offers great food and we were not disappointed. Staff was really helpful and with great welcome. Really lovely staff - one of the waitresses sang on and off throughout the evening and had a beautiful voice. The vibe was really lovely and the other blonde waitress was attentive and lovely! Wine 90 a glass and lovely and my partner had some whisky which was also great value for money! Lovely!

During my five day stay in Skopje I visited Pelister twice because the food and service are excellent. You rock! The service is friendly - all the servers seem to have the same service ethic. We sat in two different sections and both times the service was friendly and efficient. When I get back to Skopje, this will be the first restaurant I visit!

Hotel recommended this restaurant because we wanted traditional Macedonian food. Eyes bigger than stomach! Selecting a few novel items we quickly discovered there was no way we could get through even half! Not large portions, just too many! I ordered a baked cheese dish, had one taste and the rest was left; it wasn't to my taste. The traditional beans were pretty bland and those were left as well. The salad was wonderful as was their wine. Nice venue and not too crowded. Prices were affordable.

An excellent recommendation from TripAdvisor. We went to this restaurant located in the heart of the bohemian quarter without any booking. Everyone was nice and spoke good English. We ordered the typical Macedonian salad for starter with garlic bread and the baked oven cheese as well as some meat dishes for main course (a burger in a pie/quiche?) and it was all delicious, in particular the starters. They offer an excellent wine selection too and we ended our meal with a few rakhis some on the house. We cannot recommend this place enough. Maybe make a booking as we went on a Tuesday night and it was still pretty busy. Note: not all traditional meals for e.g stews and other meaty dishes are available in spring/summer but rather during winter season. Still you should give it a try if you happen to be in Skopje.

We came for a lunch, had mostly meats. The pleskavica was out of this world. I had beef liver, which I can only recommend. The salads particularly were tasty. We had shopska salad and greek salad. I loved local cheese grated on salads. We had couple of beers and some ouzo. For its price it was really good.

We stumbled across this place by accident after leaving Kale Fortress. We sampled a range of beers (you can purchase a beer board with six samples) and sat in the lovely outside part of the bar. Friendly service although the toilets were basic.
