The goulash soup was classic and delicious.We also tried the supreme chicken paprikash and the pork knuckle. Both were great.This food is a step above your grandmother's home cooking and clearly prepared by a professional chef with high technical ability.The serving portions are more generous than most other restaurants of this calibre.

We came upon this place and were happily treated to wonderful service AND food. I really enjoyed my cauliflower soup and salmon ravioli while my husband and a very tasty pulled pork sandwich. Highly recommend this place!

Intimate, cosy, great service (impeccable actually), great menu, good local wines (REALLY good actually).We tried 2 1-star restaurant when in Budapest, and this one we would DEFINITELY visit again and recommend to everyone we know, if we had to choose between the 2.And I loved the great storytelling from the waiter when they came with the food. Chose this restaurant for lunch based on TA rating while visiting the Buda side of town. Homey atmosphere with great authentic Hungarian selections. Had the bone marrow appetizer and waiter showed us how to prepare and eat it the Hungarian way. He made excellent recommendations for us, and the preparation and taste was as good as anything we had in Budapest. Absolutely fabulously satisfying lunch concluded with a shot of Pallinka.

We stopped in for dinner mid-week, no reservation; being off peak season, we had no trouble getting a table. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, attentive. Food, wine, and service were all great. Next time, I would sit in the garden/courtyard, but it was a bit chilly this evening. Inside offered a warm, cosy ambience with the curved ceilings and stone walls and live piano music.

The restaurant's cuisine is International European and they also have many traditional Hungarian dishes.. The location is perfectly placed in front of Matthias Church and the atmosphere inside is amazing and so relaxing.. Iâm eating halal food, so I had for lunch the risotto with mushroom and goat cheese, canât describe how tasty, beautifully presented and fresh it was.. The staff are very attentive, smiling and have professional approach.

Ordered a pasta arrabiata, which turned out to be gnocchi in tomato-sauce, no spice or chili at all. The experience was only saved by a good home-brewed beer, hence the two stars. Seems like a typical tourist-gimmick trap without any focus on reoccurring customers or food.

It proved to be a hit when I was here three years ago, and it still is.We all had the Chef's menue and it was superdelicious, some of us chose the pigeon, pickled ramsons, kohlrabi and mushroom, wich was a treat for the palate. This is a wine restaurant that belongs to a winery in Villany, called Bock. I was expecting great wine experience on an affordable price. The food was tasty, but not extra, the wines were well selected, but highly overpriced. Specially their own wines are extremely expensive. Found it through maps after a long day in nearby shopping spree. Had no expectations and have found an a amazing place. High quality products, wonderful atmosphere, live music at lunchtime, big portions. Wine is great, soups are wonderful, service is impeccable and staff knows English. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
