Convenient, friendly place to stop for a quick meal. We only had coffee which was good and price was normal.

Most beautiful place in Nieuwegein with great kitchen, and marvellous views. Steak, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free... Everything is made in this kitchen.
I was here before; it was too empty that time. Luckily, this time they had more guests, I counted around 50 seats to be used. It wasn't filled up completely, though better than last time with 3-4 tables in use.The menu is simple though elegant; it offers good choices for people who like vegetarian as well as a sirloin steak. They have various wines that you can order per glass, so you do not have to order a bottle. Some small remarks: the bowls used for the dishes look beautiful; however, they are not always easy to eat from (they are fine with a spoon though very difficult to use with anything else). And the disadvantage of having more guests is that it can become noisy; perhaps they need to adjust the ceiling to reduce the reflection.

Bijzonder restaurant waar het echt het gevoel geeft alsof je bij iemand thuis eet. Super lekker eten waar veel aandacht aan wordt besteed en het iedereen naar z'n zin maakt. Echt geweldig! De moeite waard!
Very nice diner in a great looking reataurant. Former garage, turned into a beautiful restaurant. We ate upstairs where it was very hot... (summer). You may want to make sure you eat outide or downstairs when it's hot. Food was good, not great. Service was great.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip and ate in the hotel restaurant.I had schnitzel with a cheese sauce. It was pretty good and a very big portion.... Accompanied by wedges, fries, cabbage and a side salad.nearly too much food! This cost Euro 17.50 which is very good value for a hotel. There were plenty of other choices at similar price and a more expensive steak menu. Service was efficient and friendly. This is not really a restaurant you would travel to due to the location of the hotel but if you are staying here you will get a very nice meal without having to travel anywhere.

The food is tasty. Very reasonable prices. The place, including bathrooms, could use some TLC. Bathroom access is through a fly curtain that leads you into the kitchen. Not sure that is where you would want your bathroom doors. Eclectic and colorful decoration. Electric tubes and wires for lights must be safe, but also rather visibly amateuristically installed.

Before we left for the Far East we find time to see the relatives. We had our get together in this restaurant. The area has wide open space around to include the nice view of the De Lek. Food was very good in bigger serving... too much for me. We tried to order their specialty the pancake and apple pie and taste so good. The dessert came later. I love the yummy taste of it.

An unpromising location (where it's easy to park) until you see the view behind the building. An unpromising entrance, giving way to a splendid wine cellar style dining room. A promising menu that should give you the confidence to order the "specialty" of the house: the surprise menu. Just tell them how many courses you want, sit back and relax. If you have dietary restrictions, it's even better: they actually listen and come up with surprisingly good variations or alternatives. Each dish is on the small side. Close your eyes, taste as well as you can, combine different parts of the dish. Unless you are a really big eater not only will you have had enough, you will have enjoyed your dessert as much as your first dish. Multiply that by generous portions of innovation and creativity. Unusual, but excellent combinations of ingredients make your meal as adventurous as a South Pole cruise. Set your prejudices aside and let the chef take you by the hand into a land you could not have dreamt up yourself. They passed my own simplistic test of attention to detail with flying colours: excellent bread and very good coffee. The negatives are really piddling. The acoustics are bizarre so the place can seem loud. If there is a wine chart I didn't see it and I sensed a strange aversion against French wines. These points are more than offset by an attentive, understanding and charming service. One day, Michelin will find them.

We had a wonderful dining experience in this authentic Dutch restaurant in the pretty little town of Vianen about 10km from Utrecht. It's a converted old house with a lovely dining area and the freshest linen napkins I've seen! The shellfish starter was a dream and I had the mixed grill, my partner the fish of the day, both cooked to perfection. Generous, but not overly filling, portions prevented us from having the sweet. All washed down with perfect house red and delicious coffee. Served by the friendliest of staff, with about 30 covers capacity, this is a must if you want to get off the tourist track..and all for 40Eu each. There's B & B and afternoon tea too and would love to try both. Thank you Vianen!
