Things to do in Sint-Niklaas
The interior of the place is nice, good products and tastefull, modern food. It is a place for the trendy public. It is noisy if there are a lot of people. Prices are high. You don't get that much food, so good eaters have to take more than one thing which makes it expensive. Conclusion: a good place but not for often.

Had a great salad with bacon and feta, on the face not cheap, but it was good value as it was a large salad with plenty of bacon and feta.If you find yourself in St Niklaas then worth it for lunch.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Den BIko, hot chocolate, glass of Cava, lovely bread, ...Very pretty surroundings. We booked in advance as we had a Bongo bon but many people just went in like that and got a table.Friendly staff!

We only had one night in Sint-Niklaas and having walked about looking for a place where we could eat something that seemed authentic and local we found Ootre Sjoose. Our evening meal was a wonderful beef stew, very hearty in a great gravy (based on local beer) which was fabulous. Pudding was a small helping of three delicious dishes. I would heartily recommend this excellent restaurant.

Really cosy interior. There is a tapas bar and there are 4 main courses on the menu: steak, gambas/scampis, ribs and hamburger so that's something for everyone's taste :-). We got a very friendly waiter who explained their way of working very thoroughly and also gave pointers what most men or women choose because once you choose your dish you also have to decide on the weight: 250 gr, 300 gr, or more. I think this is a very good concept where not much food will go to waste. Maybe the only minus point is that really everything has to be ordered seperately, vegetables, mayonaise, fries, it's all to be mentioned and is charged seperately. Even so, we still paid less than otherwise for our steak-dinner. And the steak was really good quality, as was the white whine. Not as cheap as in some other restaurants but really worth it! I think you won't be disappointed coming here.

Already 30 years Brasseurs. Place for traditional Belgian food as Italian pasta's , Lasagne's , Salades...and much more.
We went there on a Tuesday after having made reservations. It's situated in a mansion overseeing the square with a nice view. The food was excellent as well as the service.Would definitely dine there again. Especially in the summer

Lovely lasagna and pork brochette. Very pretty interior and the terrace is absolutely fantastic. The best place to eat in Sint-Niklaas and reasonable prices. You apparently need to book 1-2 months in advance as this is a popular place but definetely worth it. We were lucky just to get a table for 1 hour. We were very pleased :)!

Me and my family dined here for my mothers birthday. We were with a group of 6 + a small chils (9 mths). The staff was very friendly and brought us a special seat for the little one and were very kind and comprehensive. We chose for the menu of the month. The menu had fondue as an option on it, but when I wanted to order it, it seemed not to be possible to take it in the restaurant. This option is only available in the brasserie. This was however not mentioned on the menu itself. The menu was acceptbale, but portions rather small. We had scampi's as a starter, than soup, than duck and to finish a chocolate desert. The price of the wine and water was very exaggerated. 25⬠for the housewine ( a decent spanish landwine) and 32 ⬠or more to start on all other bottles. This was over the top. Water was also highly charged. Water should be free or at a bottom price. It was also very hot in the restaurant, even with the window and doors open.I remeber the staff which was excellent and polite, I do not keep super memories on the food. I would give it 7/10, but thats not an option on tripadvisor, so I give a 6/10 +
