Visited as part of a group of 6 for a business lunch. A great choice from the menu or daily special. I had hare with vegetables which was excellent and a lot of meat, others had the special steak fonderie, pheasant and stingray wings. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Efficient service!

I had a business dinner with Kiwanis Ieper. Fantastic Flemish menu: steak béarnaise, pommes frites and salad, good wine. Exquisite taste. Lady of the house, the chef and staf as usual high professional standard, giving you a posh feeling. We had dinner in the bigger restaurant room with all equipment available for a presentation. High standard interior with a huge chimney depicting wood carved hunting theme, one feels back in time in first class restaurant. This is a fine restaurant, well known by locals. If you are looking for a place with high standard menu and for value for money outside Ieper center, this is a place to go.

De Krikke is a local restaurant on the busy Ieper-Veurne road, well known by the local folks. Good Flemish/French style food, speciality Flemish eal which becomes rarer and rare to catch. We had a good Friday evening starting with good and strong local Picon and enjoying Flemish steak pommes frites ( steak nature with garlic butter, steak provencal and steak green pepper ). Not a big choice of beers as they are all coming from the local Leroy brewery and have a particular sharp strong after-taste. One has to like them, other friends had good quality red wine. We closed our meal with a tasty Dame Blanche and Coupe Bresilienne. Good local restaurant, value for money, fair prices. Unfortunately their is no terrasse at the back of the restaurant and noise of the traffic on the road ( that can be busy at rush hours ) can be ennoying. Well known restaurant by local folks, meaning that food and prices are more than OK!

We were visiting with my mother-in-law, her friend and my three children during the Christmas markets. The food was delicious and the service was great. Plenty of food for the money and lots of options to choose from. Nobody left the restaurant hungry. I definitely recommend it.
