The municipality comprises the towns of Hamme proper, Kastel Moerzeke, St-Anna and Zogge. On March 18, 2010, Hamme had a total population of 24,026. The total area is 40.21 km² which gives a population density of 578 inhabitants per km². The current mayor of Hamme is Herman Vijt, from the CD&V (Christian Democratic) party.

We went there on a Tuesday after having made reservations. It's situated in a mansion overseeing the square with a nice view. The food was excellent as well as the service.Would definitely dine there again. Especially in the summer

We aten spaghetti, maar te duur voor veel spaghetti met kleine portie spaghettisaus die bovendien bestond uit enkel gehakt met wat passato en tomatensaus.vriendelijke bediening.

Quality, quality in everything, again and again. For a simple salade or a complete diner, you will never disiapointed. The suggestions are high level. They sell nice wine by glass. In summertime they have a splended terras.(one part heated) And they have a fumoir for those who still can appreciate a good cigar. Succes has his price... sometimes it can be very crowdy, especialy when there are familydiners. oh yes, they have a big playgarden....So may is not my favorit month to go. Take a reservation if you plan to go.

It just opened recently but already is quite popular. Very near the river Schelde and with an excellent view of the area you can enjoy good food or a good glass. Indoors it's very cosy and very open. I would recommend it for couples, families and friends to enjoy it.

Me and my family dined here for my mothers birthday.We were with a group of 6 + a small chils (9 mths). The staff was very friendly and brought us a special seat for the little one and were very kind and comprehensive.We chose for the menu of the month.The menu had fondue as an option on it, but when I wanted to order it, it seemed not to be possible to take it in the restaurant. This option is only available in the brasserie. This was however not mentioned on the menu itself.The menu was acceptbale, but portions rather small. We had scampi's as a starter, than soup, than duck and to finish a chocolate desert.The price of the wine and water was very exaggerated. 25⬠for the housewine ( a decent spanish landwine) and 32 ⬠or more to start on all other bottles. This was over the top. Water was also highly charged. Water should be free or at a bottom price.It was also very hot in the restaurant, even with the window and doors open.I remeber the staff which was excellent and polite, I do not keep super memories on the food. I would give it 7/10, but thats not an option on tripadvisor, so I give a 6/10 +

This restaurant was truly delightful. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The food is fantastic, elegantly served and wonderfully flavourful. We enjoyed a table at the window overlooking a quiet flowing river. This is truly a hidden gem! Don't pass it by!

Laat ons eerlijk zijn, je gaat op restaurant om te eten, liefst lekker en in een aangenaam kader. Wel hieraan voldoet deze zaak ruimschoots. De tijd heeft er misschien wat stilgestaan volgens sommigen maar voor mij is dit niet echt belangrijk.Het eten, de wijnen en bediening waren voortreffelijk, alles was netjes en verzorgd, klassieke tafelopstelling, met een mooie afwerking, meer moet het niet zijn.Zeker een aanrader als je van klassieke keuken houdt zonder veel poespas.

Visited the restaurant on the occasion of my birthday. We selected the extended gourmand menu (7courses). We were treated with a few very nice small dishes to get going. A.o. a fresh green gazpacho and a delicious shrimp tempura.The trip through the menu was a true revelation of taste. Starting with two variations of langoustine, ending with a delicious mix of chocolate and pistache. The lobster with Asian inspirations was outstanding.Service could be a bit more relaxed. The youngsters will certainly gain experience in the years to come. Kudos to the sommelier for her enthusiasm.Wine choice was excellent up to the main course although the red wine should have been a bit colder. We would have appreciated a different red, why not a sweeter one, with the cheese..Overall a recommendation. We'll certainly come back. I would avoid hot summer evenings when seated upstairs though..

Four of us had lunch at H-eat and loved every single one of our dishes! Four starters, main courses and desserts â everything was impeccable. While the dishes reflect an unpretentious bistro style, the quality of the ingredients and of the cooking elevates them to a superior eating experience. Interesting wine selection, and excellent wine service all throughout our meal. All of the waiting staff was as cordial as they were professional. From the open kitchen, the chef takes the time to greet guests as they arrive and leave the restaurant, which is a nice touch. Our visit was absolutely perfect, from beginning to end. With only 30 seats, make sure to reserve well ahead of time â definitely worth it!
