Service was good but the food did not meet our standards;the schnitzel was overcooked and salty; the chips were reallybad and the owner actually told me that we could not get anything but frozen fries in the area (definitely untrue) and hehad never had a complaint in 18 years. We could not eat them! The garlic sauce was the only item that was good; I asked for takeout for thesalad twice--did not happen. On Saturday night there were only 3 couples.Go figure.

We called in as we were passing and was just going to have a drink in the sunshine but when we heard about the Nasi Goreng as a special we jumped at the chance and were not disappointed, it was very good with a fried egg on top just perfect. After placing our order it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. Husband had ordered a pizza but it arrived with the Base not cooked and the topping lacked flavour. I had lasagna and that also was lacking tomato flavour and very little beef wss in evidence tasted more like a few lasagne sheets in a bechamel sauce not a nice tomato ladagna. The prices were good but not good enough to compensate for the poor quality of the food.

We stopped in here as we were looking for a pit stop before going across the road to the taxi rank, and what a wonderful surprise. Lovely spot getting the late afternoon sunshine out on the terrace. Ordered a vodka and fresh orange and received a lovely big glass with the orange juice freshly squeezed into a lovely jug on the side. Best drink I had all holiday.
