A small old fashioned café located just as you enter town. Cook/owner Pappas does tend to wander around and smooze with customers but did turn out a good basic breakfast. The bacon was to die for, very crisp and tasty. Ambience was quiet and un-rushed, comfortable. Not sure what others meant about prices as they seemed in line with other cafes on our ten day road trip.

Caught between Flagstaff and Grand Canyon National Park, we took a chance on Fred's Diner (in the Flintstone Village RV campground and amusement park) because the day's specials held promise. The blackboard outside offered a ham and mushroom omelet, a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and vegetable and a chicken caesar salad. Little did we know that the blackboard was the best they had to offer. We split the hot sandwich (made with beef sliced for Philly cheesesteaks) and the salad, which were both OK. Nothing else on the menu looked appetizing, maybe because of the emphasis on the Flintstones theme: Chickasaurus sandwich, fishasaurus sandwich, etc.The service was lackluster, giving us no reason to consider stopping in again on our return trip a few days later.

We stopped in for dinner our first night in Williams, Arizona. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. The place is a 50's style diner, with lots of old pictures of the movie stars. We ordered 2 turkey dinners. The turkey was real too, not processed. The only thing was the dinners didn't come with dressing. How can you have a turkey dinner without dressing? The place was pricey for what you got too. We only ate there once.

Twisters is a Route 66 original building built in 1926. The original Texaco gas station has been converted into Twisters garage bar. Our bar carries 17 beers, and 3 wines on tap, some of Arizona's best local brews. The restaurant serves some of the best s
The outside of Twisters does NOT represent how fun and great the food is inside. My hubby had a steak that was perfectly cooked and very generous portion. My salad was fresh and crisp with just the right ingredients. We all splurged and had hot fudge sundaes and malted shakes. The service was wonderful and friendly. I rate this a 5 Star must experience!

We love Anna's Cafe! We've met a few locals and always enjoy going back for breakfast and visiting - Bob and Jim are there every morning. The food is delish and the atmosphere is casual. Don't order the regular stack of pancakes, as they are HUGE, dinner plate size! Our granddaughter order them, plus bacon and scrambled eggs. She could barely make a dent. The French toast is really good!
