We stayed overnight in Maggie Valley for Christmas and this was one of the few restaurants open in the area. The waitress we had was wonderful, even though they were busy. They still had our food hot and ready in no time at all. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Would recommend going when in town.

Hazelwood Farmacy & Soda Fountain takes you back to the days when soda fountains were king and luncheonette menus ruled (think cole slaw, chicken, tuna, or egg salad, pimento cheeseburgers, hotdogs). Add breakfast, NY deli sandwiches, diner-style hot plat
My wife and I were part of a large fellowship group on an early Friday evening. The management was most accommodating by putting us in a private room in the back of the restaurant. Service was adequate by promptly providing drink orders and letting us know about the nightly special. Once our orders were placed, our food arrived in a reasonable time considering the size of our group, except for my order, which did not arrive until some 10 minutes after everyone else had been served. I ordered the house recipe meatloaf with pinto beans and collard greens and my wife opted for the hamburger. I found my meatloaf uninspiring and lacking of flavor, perhaps due to the delay. However, the vegetables were tasty and others in our group that ordered the vegetable plate agreed. My wife's hamburger was as ordered: mayo, lettuce and tomato only. One individual in our group ordered the bacon wrapped ground chuck filet and reported it was only so-so. To be fair, others in our group ordered the chicken pot pie and oven roasted turkey and said both were pleasing. Many in our party had been to Hazelwood Farmacy for breakfast and lunch and reported the Greek Isle Omelet was outstanding. We will make another visit for dinner, but based on our first experience, suggest breakfast or lunch might be their forte.

Welcome to our little Cafe nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. We are located in the heart of Jonathan Creek, a great community in Haywood County, NC, with a lot of great people! Thank you to all of our loyal local's and new cust
I searched many breakfast spots in and around Waynesville NC. and got many mixed reviews, sometimes we can't figure out some. Decided on J Creek Cafe even though it looks like a place you wouldn't go unless you your like us and love finding the real gems. Let me tell ya this is a gem, not the speediest service but Gail's special chicken, egg, cheese and gravey on a biscuit is something you have to try. To start with if the white gravey is not good the whole meal is tanked, but her pepper gravey was perfect. This is a very local joint, with Gail cooking in her shorts, making fresh gravey and talking to the customers all at once, to the atmosphere of an old diner attached to a service station. In Waynesville stop at this one you won't be sorry..

Our food was good and the portions are generous. During peak hours, itâs chaotic to find a table. Thereâs no one to help or to take names. Folks just wander around the whole restaurant looking for a table while servers try to maneuver around them to deliver food.

Said 10 min, table ready in 2.Waitress Marita SUPER BUSY. But, nice & efficient. She was also thoughtful as to offer me âto goâ coffee in a takeout. She was ârunning like crazyâ so no time to chit chat. No worries! They had pagers & tables for those in line, w/benches outside.I ordered the bigger breakfast, to take pancakes & biscuits w/me. Gotta love carbs? It was easily enough for 2 to split; -at least 3 scrambled eggs, pancakes the size of a motorcycle tire (well, almost..), a generous sausage patty & TWO VERY LARGE biscuits. I was a solo diner. The reason for a â4â instead of a 5? A breakfast bar for singles would free up tables of 4, plus make it more enjoyable for a âlone customer.â Otherwise, a perfect score!
