"Home Cooking at it's best." Family owned, by Adam Adamopoulos. 35 years experience in Family restaurant. Home-made soups, house-cooked meats for sandwiches that include a cup of soup. 4 Egg omelets with only fresh vegetables, apple smoked bacon, Dearborn
The name of the restaurant intrigued me. Was it named for the TV show and the movies or was it a coincident. It turns out to be the owners last name. His restaurant is open for only breakfast and lunch. It's open from 6am to 4pm. Sat.- Sun 8am to 4pm. There is a huge selection of breakfast items. You need to be hungry, as the omelettes have 4 eggs. There is a children's menu for both breakfast and lunch. As with breakfast, there is also a huge selection sandwiches, bergers dogs with all the trimmings. Many of the patrons were greeted by name. Several of them had conversations with each other. This is a friendly neighborhood restaurant.

A buddy and I decided to drive along Ford Road in Westland and Garden City and stop at the first restaurant we came to, which was GJ's Diner. The parking lot only had a few cars. Not a good sign during the breakfast hours. Our server seemed a bit put off by our hesitation in ordering. We asked for additional time but she returned to the table, two times, despite our wishes to flag her when we were ready. She was, however, polite. We just felt a bit crowded by her visits and as I mentioned, only a few people were present. In checking out the menu, We discovered virtually no specials. The word special appeared on the menu, but the prices were about the same as regular menu items at other restaurants we have visited. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two eggs and bacon. Before I order I asked for s little sample of the gravy which our waitress brought over without hesitation. The biscuits were good, and the gravy, which was house made, was very good. The bacon (four pieces) passed my stand alone test. My buddy ordered the special with two eggs, ham and a side of corned beef hash rather than the hash browns and toast. Our eggs were cooked as ordered and his ham was nicely grilled. The hash was canned, which my buddy likes, but upon putting a little crisp on a side, the crisp turned to partly burned. The coffee had both a good aroma and flavor. I doubt if we would return.

Bray's has been in business in Westland for a long time. Fancy it's not. I've been eating there more than eight years. There is a limited menu featuring hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chili dogs, fries, and some breakfast items. The fried onions on the hamburgers are great. The drive through is fast and easy..

My friend and I ate here before our flight. We have eaten at other Coney Island restaurants as vegans before and had a few options. Unfortunately at this one we were left with fries and salad. Prices were reasonable and portions were large. Restaurant was dated and needed a bit of deep cleaning.

Romulus House Restaurant has a very good menu. Their portion sizes are generous. The last time I was there I enjoyed the âSouthern Fried Catfishâ. The fish was fresh and the breading was well formed. They arrived golden brown and delicious. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get into the parking lot when heading south on Wayne Road. Use caution when heading north and crossing the road to get to the restaurant. The service was not what I would call snappy but it was adequate and businesslike. The coffee was hot and fresh. The interior is clean and kept up well.
