Reviews on Diner food in Vicksburg, Mississippi, United States. Sitting high atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi and Yazoo Rivers, the city of Vicksburg was the setting of a bloody 47 day siege during the Civil War. The site of this epic battle is now Vicksburg National Military Park, preserving original fortifications and the U.S.S. Cairo, an ironclad gunboat that once prowled the waters of the Mississippi River. Vicksburg is also the place where Coca-Cola was first bottled, a fact that is happily immortalized at the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum.

The biscuits are very good; however, they serve them with packaged jelly just like any budget hotel. There is a store next to this business that offers Mississippi made products, they should source from them. Drinks were OK, but a bit too strong. There is a nice view out the window, and service is good, but this restaurant could be much better.
It is funny to review a Waffle House. Kind of like reviewing a McDonalds. However, we were treated so friendly by our waitress and I wish I could remember her name. She explained all the answers to my wife's questions on breakfast options and it was actually comical to both of us. (Waitress and myself). Food was good, what I expected it to be and the costs a little less than we are used to paying as we don't have many or any Waffle Houses nearby where we live. Since windows all around where we sat overlooking the Gulf, we were able to get a great view of a storm coming in from the west.

If you travel in the South you will see a Waffle House everywhere. This place was fine. Fantastic egg, bacon and sausage combo breakfast. The pancakes were outstanding. The attention to service was good and the food was brought out in an orderly. Only had breakfast here as I was moving out after eating. Good, solid chain place.
