My first time visiting Summit. Arrived in the early morning and found this great place. I sat at the counter and was rapidly greeted by a very nice non-English speaking waitress. After a little difficulty with a question I had ... she just pointed to the menu board. Super pleasant though. I ordered a sausage omelet and was really surprised and pleased by the portions. The omelet came with toast and potatoes. Huge chunks of sausage! I enjoyed every bite. I walked to the restaurant but noticed that there may only be paid parking nearby. Itâs on a busy street and street parking was full each time I was outside. Be sure to plan an extra few minutes to find parking...and budget that into what you expect to spend for breakfast. The atmosphere was great...and any diner that attracts the local police as customers has my vote! The only con I found was that the coffee top-offs were nearly non-existent. I only got one top-off during my entire visit...and restaurant capacity was at about 50% on average.

We were staying at Short Hills Hilton for a marriage retreat and wanted to find a diner that wouldn't be packed with other participants. We found a gem.Everything meet our expectations: Nova plate, Poached eggs, Egg Florentine omelet.Seemed like a local favorite. Waitstaff was kind and generous with coffee refills.

Typical Jersey diner with counter seats, booths and tables. Was greeted and seated right right away. Typical Jersey diner menu that includes blue plate specials. Received a pot of coffee, so I didnât have to ask for a refill. I ordered the Western omelet that came with shredded home fries. Good western omelet, good portion, excellent home fries. Decent attentive service.

This diner is over 30 miles from my residence elsewhere in NJ, & that locale has a perfectly fine diner less than 1/2 mile away. I now stop at least once weekly @ Prestige because of its consistently superior service, the value of its well prepared & presented dishes & its exceptional customer service [on the few occasions when a problem occurred the management resolved the issues in ways that far exceeded any reasonable expectations]. They have nightly specials, delicious house prepared soups, a nice collection of spirts, wines & beers & some very pleasing desserts. My sole reservation, the house salad is not inspiring.
