Met some friends here the other day and we went early so as to avoid the crowds, which worked out perfectly as we could have a leisurely breakfast without holding up a table. This time I went back to my favorite "Mighty Irish Skillet" and it did not disappoint. There is enough there for 3 meals! This is a cash only place.....so no credit cards. But I do think the meals are reasonably priced. This place is small, so if you come here at a busy time or on the weekend chances are you will have a wait.
Have been eating here for years,Excellant classic American hamburger with crispy edges, yummy curly fries, thick milkshakes, delicious ice tea.The friendliest waitresses we have ever met, quick and efficient service. The only sandwich I wouldn't recomend is the chicken, just ordinary thin breaded patty-not a fresh chicken breast. But who goes to Schoop's for a chicken sandwich!

I came here for an early dinner. What they are famous for is their grilled one and one-half inch thick Pork Chop, so, of course, that's what I ordered. It came with Oven Browns and Hawaiian Baked Beans. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, the oven browns were super tasty and the beans were awesome. They have pieces of Pineapple mixed in with them. Expect a 20 minute to a half hour wait, so calling ahead is the norm. Trust me itâs worth the wait. The $12.00, price tag is beyond reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. I've lived in the area for over 10 years and can't believe I've never stopped in. I can't wait another 10 years to try something else on their menu. They are located in a small strip plaza on the Southside of U.S. Highway 30 East, in Dyer, Indiana.
