Quaint and relaxed, the Kenilworth Diner & Restaurant is dedicated to being your home away from home. Fresh, homestyle cooking paired with friendly and attentive service this is what we do best. Think: first-class dining on a first-name basis, where new p
Went for breakfast with daughter and grand-daughters. Selection is huge; food is tasty; prices are good value; service is prompt and pleasant - very nice atmosphere. The booth dividers in the rear restaurant are not anchored to the wall so every time the people in the seat behind us moved back and forth, so did we - it's akin to the little kid in the seat behind you on an airplane who insists on kicking your seat back. Simple solution - sit at a table or counter. Note: we didn't change because the restaurant was full and more people were waiting for a table. I hope the restaurant owner/manager gets a carpenter or handyman to anchor the dividers to the adjoining wall because we really liked the place.Thank you for the review hope to see again soon.

Sunrise Diner is pretty much a typical NJ diner. Good portions, reasonable prices, nice variety. It is great for a sit down lunch or a dinner after a day where you just want something hearty and simple, but do not feel like cooking tonight. My friend and I had lunch today (Oct. 17). It was my first visit, but not hers. I ordered a pastrami/corned beef combo with fries and coleslaw; my friend ordered a soup and half shrimp salad sandwich, with cole slaw too. The portions were generous. The soup and fries were really fresh and hot. We actually got our order in about 5 minutes. On the down side, my friend's sandwich, though good, was a little too saucy without more generous chunks of shrimp. Also, I had to ask the waitress to bring my cole slaw and Russian dressing (on the menu for my sandwich). She was apologetic and very accommodating and brought it right away.A major plus in my book, for about $18 you get this meal, which would be about a buck or 2 more than a couple of McDonald's Big Macs, large fries and medium drinks

Amber was our server today and she was terrific. She was friendly and made us feel welcome and valued. When ordering I told her I preferred to eat vegan foods. While they didnât have a vegan menu per-se, Amber suggested their home made veggie burger. I had it served with sautéed broccoli and a salad and it was all extremely good. Skipped the bun since it was warmed/toasted on the griddle and had butter. Good food, great service. Way to go!

I went to this diner in April 2018. My group consisted of more than ten people. The service was very prompt. The food came out in a timely fashion. And the atmosphere was very pleasant. I had a spicy steak salad. The seasoned steak reminded me of my time in Greece. I highly recommend this diner and that salad.

We met our friends for brunch on Labor Day: was not too crowded. Voted by NJ.com as best diner in Essex County, we decided to meet our friends for a meal. Our friends had the eggs Benedict and really liked them. My wife had an omelette and thought it was good but not great. I had a wrap with fries. The balsamic vinegar on the wrap made the wrap too soggy. The fries were good. Server was super friendly. They have a parking lot.
