This is a 1940's replica diner, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner until 8 p.m.
Not much to look at, but you'll never be disappointed by the food. Dinners are wonderful, especially the great roast turkey carved off the bird while you watch. Breakfasts are consistently good. It's crowded and shows the wear of more than half a century serving up comfort food to the regulars.

This is a small, cozy, old fashioned home cooking kind of spot for a delicious lunch or breakfast in a location convenient to downtown, the canal (for boaters) , church goers, and travelers. Prices are extremely reasonable, service is efficient and friendly, and the good coffee comes with a free refill. You can eat in a hurry if you need to be on your way, or linger to chat with friends and feel comfortable either way. Only non-alcoholic beverages are served. We recently met for breakfast with an old friend and were very happy with our meals. I had french toast (3 slices to an order) with a generous slice of ham, my husband had a huge Belgian Waffle with sausages, and our friend had a big omelette with his choice of ingredients. The menu is extensive with plenty of lunch, breakfast and snack options. There is a room in back that can accommodate small party gatherings and some cozy booths in front. There is a free off street parking lot.

My family and I stopped at Donna's on our drive home from Boston. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we hope to return some day!Our server was one of the sweetest people we've ever met. She was so friendly and accommodating. Her kindness and happiness seemed very genuine. She made some recommendations for those of us who were torn between two options.I started with a hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was SO good. For my meal, I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak & scrambled eggs breakfast wrap with a side of corned beef hash. Everything was delicious! The rest of my family absolutely loved their meals as well. We got a ton of food and it only cost us about $10.00 per person. I hope Donna's continues to do well. It's a great place to stop for a quick homemade meal, when you need a break from driving on the I-90. It's less than a five minute drive from the Rome exit. Their food is excellent and you can't beat the service or the prices.
