Hungry? We Do Hungry, & We Do It Well!
Sundays, the restaurant gets busy, especially before 1 p.m. The turkey noodle soup has an incredibly rich broth, and it's loaded with turkey. The wife and I eat here most Sundays. If you like scallops, this restaurant has the best: REALLY tender without the hard bits often found elsewhere. The senior menu, which is a real bargain, includes the salad bar, which, along with the Heidelberg Restaurant near Womelsdorf, is the best in Berks. The senior menu, which averages $9 to $12, includes the salad bar, soup, and a good choice of desserts.

We stopped here because we were hungry and in the area. We actually were looking for another diner in a different part of Route 61. We almost left because we didn't think they could handle our party of 10 including 4 children. They put tables together so we managed. There were no crayons or any other child amenities, and the wait was extremely long for our food which made it difficult with four young children. The menu is large so everyone found something to their liking. Our waitress was pleasant and got almost everything correct. I would recommend the Monte Crisco sandwich. It was delicious. The other food was very good and the portions were generous, especially for the prices. We were happy we stayed.

We had dinner at Crossroads this evening. The prime rib was large and excellent, made to perfection. The shepherd's pie was delicious and the portion more than ample. Everything was served hot, the meal included a wonderful salad bar with homemade bread and 3 soups. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and pleasant and the surroundings are lovely and very, very clean.
