Nice rooms, good bath rooms as well as high speed free wi-fi. Breakfast very good and running late to account for late night wine tastings as well. Parking is easy in the streets around and there is a plethora of wine places around. Not to mention that the in-house restaurant is more than tolerable.

Not a huge range of eating out options in Fertod but the Schnitzel Insel Restaurant attached to The Patonai Hotel provided adequate choice of tasty meals; some local and some not so local. Nice friendly, attentive staff. No smoking inside but smoking outside.

We went for dinner and we were very disappointed with the quality of the food.The vegetables looked and tasted as if they came out of a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, same with the sauces, probably made from a cheap powder base. Prices, however, were the same as in other much nicer places in Illmitz which offered better quality food.
