Visited for breakfast and had good results. Servers were very nice. Food was very good. Had the omelettes, and they were very tasty. Portions were hugeâcould not finish! A bit pricy for breakfastâ3 adults and 1 child=$60, not including tip! It was good, but $60 for breakfast was a bit much!

This is right next to the Fox Theater in Oakland! I guess it opened recently? The food was quite good - got pics if you want 'em!
Need a place after 11 p.m. for some decent food options? This is your place! Restaurant has a varied menu that would provide most customers a number of options to meet their culinary preferences. Staff at nearly midnight were all smiles and attentive. Food service is fast as is the restaurant pace.

Rudyâs Canât Fail Cafe opened in 2002 in Emeryville, CA with a second location in Uptown Oakland since 2011. Rudyâs was born from a desire to create a restaurant where people of all walks of life can feel welcome and eat honest food in a fun atmosphere.
The family is in town, including a 5 year old and 9 year old. Rudy's set up a long table, ready in advance, for our group. We were made to feel SO welcome. I have often gone for the burger and fries: the best! This time I had a cheese omelette (breakfast all day) and black beans, rye bread. EVERYONE found something on the menu that was delicious. The service was not only efficient, it was really wonderfully friendly. We stayed for a long time and never felt rushed. Tip: for a large group, make a reservation for the back room.

Apparently recently remodeled. Comfortable ambience, even when busy. Actual space between tables. There also is a parking lot across the street, a big plus in this area. Was there for breakfast. There was a great range of options. Lots of omelettes for example. My friends always have the French toast, which I tried. Delicious. Had a few more pieces! My eggs, chicken and apple sausage, cornbread also very good. Service a bit slow but not annoyingly so. Would definitely go back. Would like to try lunch.

We got here about 8:15 on a Saturday. Immediately someone in the back hollers "small table for two" We figured this was our cue to go sit down. Service was very quick, and food came very fast. They came back often to make sure everything was o.k. We got a waffle, and they were very good.
