My husband go there occasionally for a late breakfast or for lunch. The waitstaff is very attentive whether or not you are their customers. The soups, salads, and pies are excellent and perfect portions are served. The prices are very reasonable. I always feel at home when eating there and most of the time, I know someone else eating at another table.Mary Wright
Welcome to our family restaurantâ¦Market Street Grill! Since 1993 we have been welcoming guests with homemade food. Our goal is to give each and every customer a wonderful dining experience from the minute they walk in the door until they depart. Our warm,
Market Street is all about great people and fine food. If you show an interest in the regular customers, you are bound to gain a friend. Elderly patrons are eager to share their views on the little town of Nekoosa but they really beam with satisfaction when talking about the Market Street Grill building. The building is around 100 years old and while the décor has changed, their mission has not. To provide quality food and refreshment to all who walk through the doors. Most of the clientele went to the old school nearby and stopped in for fudge dipped ice cream cones after wrestling practice and other school activities. Boys and girls met there to pick up papers for their paper route, there was a window full of penny candy and a juke box near the high topped counter; behind was a mirrored wall with a display of lighters and near the café door stood a spinning rack full of comic books. The only visible connections with the past are the original tin ceiling and the wooden booths. The booths were once the color of walnut but later stained the color of redwood; at any rate, they are cozy and comfortable. And the stories of history around that quaint little building⦠Doctors on the second floor in the old bank across the street; Pomainville, Backus, Baierl. Many a youngster had their tonsils removed in those offices; and old Doc Baierl had a little too much `happy hour one night and drove his car off the east end of the road, and into the river where he⦠There were red and green lights at each end of the town to alert police when problems arose. There was the Rialto theatre across the street, and nearby in the back was a swimming pool fed by the river with a gate to keep youth from venturing out. So popular was this spot that youngsters hitched rides with pulp truck drivers from the neighboring village. Such were the stories of that little café called by so many names over the course of time. I did place an order at Market Street today. Soon there was the ding of a little bell signifying that my order was up. There were golden fries, and a large hamburger oozing clear broth upon the huge soft bun, lightly toasted on the inside with melted cheese clinging upon it. The meal, service, and comradery were so good; yes, Market Street Grill is all about great people and fine food.Wow! What a wonderful review, we truly appreciate your business and your trust in us. I am very happy to hear that our staff and service met your needs and expectations. Take care, Steven!
âBreakfast, Lunch, Sandwiches, Wraps, and Dinner Baskets; there just for youâAustinâs Diner is located just one block south of highway 54 in the quaint little village of Port Edwards in central Wisconsin. The community exists with the mighty, yet peaceful Wisconsin River, where geese and ducks frequent on wonderful summer days. Austinâs occupies the center of a strip mall along with several other shops. Rumor has it the mall was the first of its kind to ever be built in Wisconsin. The restaurant itself is comfortable, cozy, and relaxing, while the owner and wait staff contribute to a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere. I found the facilities to be clean, the service good, and the food enjoyable. My sausage patty, eggs and homemade wheat toast really hit the spot! Why not stop in to Austinâs if you are ever craving a good breakfast or noon time meal, after all; âBreakfast, Lunch, Sandwiches, Wraps, and Dinner Baskets, are ready to be prepared â just for you.

I can't recommend this place enough. First, it's in a Quonset hut that's far older than I am (I grew up across the street). Second, the lunch lady dances around and sings. Wow! Third, the food is really excellent! I had the chicken fried steak special and a cup of chili. Start with the chili-- it's Wisconsin chili, more of a soup and has spaghetti in it. I loved it! The chicken fried steak was perfect, the gray good, and the mash was real potatoes, and the corn was quite fresh. Also comes with bread and butter, which I skipped, and cottage cheese, which was great. With ice tea that was $15. The décor is patriotic, with photos of soldiers from WWII to the present. Whatever your politics are, this is the real America.

Casual breakfast, lunch and Friday Fish Fry open 7 days a week in beautiful downtown Kellner. Terrific, hot, made from scratch foods. Call us for your catering events.
Congratulations to the owners of The Chat-R-Box, for moving into the new facility, just a short distance north of the original location. The parking lot has appeared busy for breakfasts and lunches, when passing through the area. We had a late breakfast here a few days ago, and were pleased with the on-going excellent food quality and friendly service. It's a bit noisier than the previous location, if there's a crowd. The catering part of this business is thriving, so the community salutes this business, with its success story. Keep up the excellent work!
