The Frankford Family Diner is located along US 113 North about five miles north of the Delaware/Maryland state line. As we were going through northern Maryland, we started to look for something along the lines of fast food, but not much came up with satisfactory reviews, so a quick search online brought us to this place instead. Parking was easy to get into for this visit as well. Note that you can only access the place while traveling north along US 113. If traveling south, you will need to do a U-turn to get to the place. Our visit here was on September 22, 2019.When you look at the place from the outside, it looks like a little red building and wouldn't think much of it. Looks can be deceiving, as it was actually a great experience. Once we got inside, we were asked if we wanted a booth or a table. We requested a table and we were immediately seated as well. It was pretty busy at the time, even for 1:30 pm. Shortly after, our server Cathy was at the table, introduced herself and asked us for our drink order. It was a Pepsi kind of day for the drink. After bringing the drinks over, she asked if we were ready to order, but wasn't quite ready yet. After some additional time, we were ready to order. We both went with items on the mini meals menu. I ended up getting the Stuffed Shrimp mini meal with french fries. My mom would end up getting the Fried Scallops mini meal with a baked potato.About 10 minutes later, our orders were ready and came to the table. The Stuffed Shrimp was stuffed with a lot of crab meat. The crab meat was all real crab meat with no fillers in it. Also, for a mini meal, it was a large portion too, making it well worth the cost of the entree. The crab meat was hot and tasteful. I was blown away by this entree. My mom said the fried scallops were great for her as well, along with the baked potato. Our server came by a few times to check on us to make sure things went were fine, which of course for us it was. At the end, she asked if we wanted anything else, but definitely too full for that.Overall, this was an excellent experience. It takes a lot for me to give a place a five star rating, especially after only one visit, but this place is deserving of it. The food and service were excellent. Another nice perk is that there is no sales tax in Delaware, so no taxes were added to the end of the bill as well. The food portion sizes were large, even for a mini meal. When we come back home this way in the future, we plan to make it a point to stop here again. If your travels take you this way, and are hungry for some good diner food, this is the place to go. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Always go to this little place when in town! One hoagie gods for at least 2 people! Fantastic flavor, call your order in or you will be waiting!

This hometown diner in easily overlooked, but that would be a mistake. The outside is bland and a little tired (so is the inside) but the food is fresh, hearty and tasty. The basics like breakfast, soups, burgers, fries and salads are done well here. And you can't beat prime rib for $13.95. The prices are low for the quality and generous portion sizes they serve. We have made 6 or 7 visits here, and it's always the same quality. Service is always friendly, prompt and accurate. We stop by every time we come this way and are never disappointed.

Keep in mind that this is a diner, not a five-star restaurant, but the breakfast is very good. Small place, but big helpings! Friendly service, too!
I've been to Longneck many times, primarily for breakfast but they do serve lunch and dinner. Their portions are more than generous. If I go for dinner, I always ask for a take-out box right away and I end up with enough food for another meal at home. The breakfasts are great....good value!
