I had eaten at the downton location years ago and thought i'd learned my lesson then, but no, I was in the area and hungary so against my better judgement I decided to give this new location a try. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and ice tea. The burger was served cold. So cold that I could not tell the difference between it and the tomato that was hiding the pitiful small paper thin substance that was being passed off as a hamburger. The fries were OK and served hot. The tea was also OK.Service was lacking in that when my food was served that was the last time I had an interaction with my server. She was to interested in her cell phone. It wasn't that they were busy as there was a scant three people in there at 5:00pm. The floors were filthy with pieces of fries and napkins littered about. These "legend" places are mostly all the same. They hang their pride on the wall with how long the've been in service when they should be involved with improving their lot in the numerous places to eat now in this town. So if you want to say that you have eaten there just to say that you did then enter at your own taste bud risk.

Nice server, friendly atmosphere but the kitchen let our server and us down. 2 of 3 dishes we cold after a 40 minute wait after ordering. Sent the fries back as they were ice cold. Does not meet the reputation and if I was the manager, I might have deducted from the bill. Sitting at the counter, was watching the kitchen and it seemed like chaos. Hey there! Thanks for sharing a bit about your recent experience with us. We want to apologize that your service was slower than usual and that parts of your meal were cold because of it. We have sent you a private message in hope to talk further about this visit. Hope to hear from you!
