Lewiston (English pronunciation: /ˈluːɪstən/, French pronunciation: /ˈluːɪstə/; officially the City of Lewiston, Maine) is the second largest city in Maine and the most central city in Androscoggin County. We strive to find diners and this place is excellent. Location is off the beaten path, we never knew it was there. The parking lot appeared near full but there is plenty of seating inside. Out waitress Rita is as cute as a button and so friendly. I believe she said Rolly's has been open for 25 years and she has worked there 20 yrs which says volumes about the owner. I am a fan of biscuits and sausage gravy. They have a SOS served on one of the largest biscuits I have ever seen, and oh so good. The portion was so large I took home half. My hubby had an omelet which he enjoyed. Lunch menu looks good as well, we cannot wait to come back.

This place was average. It's just like every other small scale, local restaurant. Nothing flashy. The breakfast is 'ok'. But the staff is friendly, welcoming and warm! Prices are affordable as well. I would not go back, but our visit was enjoyable.

Very nice selection of breakfast/brunch items on the menu. There don't seem to be a lot of good places for breakfast in Lewiston, and Dubois' Cafe is a great choice. I would particularly recommend the eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce. The toasted muffins are delicious, and the coffee was perfect. Prices are very reasonable, and we received very good service. Dubois' is definitely worth a visit.
As if it has been frozen in time is this basic diner. Plain Jane, no curtains or pictures on the wall. Tennis balls on the chair legs act as floor protectors extraordinaire. Vinyl table covers and that is where the journey begins. It is out of the way and at one time had probably been a bustling neighborhood store. Now it is a small convenience store with a diner portion. The convenience part has containers of what used to be penny candy with brown bags for kids to fill them up, quaint rarity. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer and split an order of fish and chips. They also serve wine and beer or any other beverage of choice. The onions rings came promptly in a huge portion. The batter was perfect and the oil used to cook them was fresh, no oil taste of other foods. The portion was so large we could not eat them all. Next is the fish and chips. The French fries were freshly hand cut real potatoes and the fish was so fresh it was as if it had just come off the boat. Fish was cooked to perfection, light and flaky. My husband commented the onion rings were the best he had ever had in his life, and he is in his 70âs so that say a lot about the quality of their food that is all made fresh from scratch, the real deal. There seem to be a lot of locals which is always a good sign. The atmosphere is friendly and fun as Cindy our waitress jokes and laughter fills the air. This diner is a blast from the past and exactly what a diner should be like. I understand they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and we cannot wait to go back and try them all. They have daily specials and desserts that are out of this world. Old fashion good cheap eats. A bonus is that they are wheelchair friendly, easy in and out. If you are looking for real fresh food this will be a wonderful surprise. Donât judge a book by its cover.
