We stopped for lunch, and it was a tight squeeze to sit down, too many tables and it offers little privacy to eat or enjoy your food. The menu ius typical small town diner style, too much grease and nothing too healthy. It was edible and fairly large portions, but nothing that would make me stop in again. My wife complained about hard chunks in her food, but mine was okay.
On a recommendation from one of our party, we stopped at Koo's for some good Canadian poutine - we were not disappointed. True poutine aficionados will appreciate the skin-on fresh potatoes, fresh cheese curd and the smoothest, creamiest gravy ever. So yummy! Very generous portion for a very reasonable price of $8. We added a side order of onion rings - heavenly, light and perfectly cooked. No clinging grease or heavy odour, just onion rings done to perfection. There are numerous other items on their blackboard menu, but we chose poutine as it was agreed upon by the two children in our group. Needless to say, even with 3 adults, there were leftovers. Highly recommend Koo's Kitchen if you are travelling north to Stoney or beyond or coming back from the cottage. Yum yum!!!

Homestyle cooking with a chef's touch. Dynamite daily Soup & Sandwich Combos! Great value breakfast with fresh grill-style homefries (not deep-fried). Homemade burgers. Gluten Free Fish & chips. Fresh-cut french fries. Open daily for breakfast and lunch,
Amazing food! We had the omelettes. Excellent flavor, large portions. Pricing is very reasonable. We were served by the kind, jolly owner. Definitely recommend and will go back next time in town!

We were staying at Burleigh Falls Inn for a girls weekend in May of 2017. When we were there the Grill, the restaurant at the Inn didn't serve breakfast so we went looking for another place to eat. After asking some locals they recommended Young's Point Diner which was just down the road from Burleigh Falls. The restaurant was clean and bright, with local artwork decorating the walls. The food was hearty breakfast fare and the service was excellent. They have some great pies and pastries but we resisted temptation. The waitress also told us about the nightly entertainment but we never did make it back. All in all a nice country diner which I would recommend if you are travelling that part of the Kawarthas.
