This one is easy. The breakfast at our hotel was pathetic - powdered eggs - ugh! So we checked on Trip Advisor and fortunately found MetroDiner. Excellent service from our waiter Chris. The food was wonderful - especially the grits and the atmosphere is just what I like in a local restaurant like this. If you want a great breakfast - go here!

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Atlantic Beach. Good service, cute, clean, and a good menu that includes many vegetarian options. Our omelets were decent, the coffee was good, and we had a pleasant breakfast overall. Prices were reasonable.

Our young waitress and her co-workers lifted our experience from just another breakfast chain diner to one where you could tell they got along well and enjoyed working together. That's hard to find and when you do, sometimes that gets in the way where the workers neglect their customers to socialize. But our waitress was kind, friendly and attentive without becoming a nuisance. Her co-worker checked in on us too to make sure we were okay. I totally enjoyed my waffle, 2 sausages and 2 eggs, an extra one added not sure why. A filling breakfast late in the day when the other breakfast/brunch places closed already and the prices can't be beat here.
Only positive comments for breakfast at Penman Diner! Delicious food at reasonable prices; fast and friendly service; nice seating (bright and roomy); half & half (not creamer); real butter (not fake colored "spread"). Looking forward to trying their lunch menu.
