Overall my visit here was a mixed bag. The facility itself is old and shows it. It doesn't help that the place just doesn't have a clean feel to it. Looking under my table it wasn't just the food crumbs, it was the dust and dirt. Place needs a major cleaning. The service was mixed. Everyone was polite and I got my food quickly. But after that, I was forgotten. The staff seemed too interested in talking with each other than checking on me. And there were only two customers in the place. The only real positive was that my meal came as ordered and was very good.
Benny Paulâs is an excellent place for Sunday lunch. Fresh fried chicken, baked ham, chicken tenders, and several fresh vegetables made up todayâs offerings. The fried chicken was excellent, loved the dressing and gravy, rutabagas and greens were very good too. Including tea itâs about ten bucks. These people are so nice and appreciate of your business. Go there and support the local folks! And enjoy an excellent lunch.
I love Waffle House; my husband-- not so much. But he agreed this was a wonderful experience. Our server was so nice and talked to us in a friendly manner. We really enjoyed having her 'take care of us'. I regret we did not get her name.... she was a pretty black lady that worked Mon 8/15/16. The cook was also superb. He was a kinda slender black gentleman. They made our meal delightful. I hope their manager knows what excellent employees he/she has working evenings.
