This is a throwback to a forgotten age, a small mom'n'pop joint where they cook everything from scratch up to and including smoking their own bacon and making their own (low-sugar) ketchup. Which is great, if you know just how much high fructose corn syrup the Big Phood companies stuff into their over-processed crap. The menu is limited but the food is good, portions are high as an elephant's eye, the staff are as friendly as you want and you may find the local sheriff (and his family) chowing down at the next table.Barney's is living proof that small-town USA still exists. Norman Rockwell would have loved it, and so did I.

This little hole in the wall gem, small very small dinner is a gem! Good food, decent prices and the menu is hilarious very entertaining! Small business ads in the celling tile! There is two entrances one in the front one in the back, but donât be alarmed when you come in from the back because you find yourself on the cooks line! Its perfectly fine! Seating is tight , but definitely well worth it!
This a very simple yet cozy diner with a lot of charm. But what is really obvious is their desire to have homemade food made simple and delicious. Everything is fresh and very reasonably priced. Although in this area for a while, I never visited until I heard they had expanded their menu. Plenty to choose from, plenty of specials, and everything, save for a few dessert standards, made on site. My wife and I shared everything and both agreed it all was wonderful. In the Airport Plaza (it's a grass runway) on M-50 just west of the Napoleon Cafe, same side of the road.
