We have been here a few more times since my last review and about half the time they are closed with no explanation posted on the door. When they have been open it seems like they are not interested in cooking a good meal because sometimes the grease is old and you can really taste it or the different menu items like french toast come out and taste like they have been reheated several times. We may give it a try again but not any time soon.

We arrived in mid evening. The place was fairly empty. We were acknowledged promptly. The food took some time arriving. I ordered steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was nicely cooked and very tasty. The vegetables, while perfectly cooked, were cold. The mashed potatoes, while tasty, were nearly cold. The coffee was lukewarm. This restaurant has potential. Itâs pleasant to look at, the waitress was friendly, itâs in a good location. Itâs clean.Itâs inexplicable to me how most of my food arrived cold when there are only 5 customers in the entire restaurant. I donât normally patronize Dennyâs. We stopped here because itâs close to an EV charging station. This experience doesnât do much to make me want to come back. I am willing to give it one more try in the future. I hope by then employees are better trained, or more efficient procedures will be in place to deliver food to the patrons while itâs hot.

After driving past the restaurant for 16 months, we stopped in for breakfast. Quickly seated, order taken, and food delivered. It was a great breakfast with quality food, large portions, and served hot. Waitress volunteered info about 10% veterans discount which we signed up for immediately. Discount applies ONLY to the veterans meal, but still is a nice recognition by the restaurant. Will be going back frequently!

The burgers were ready in 20 minutes. They were outstanding in content, portions, flavors and hot/fresh. The fries were not as good as the burgers, tho. A bit tough. The portion was generous. I would go again for the burgers. The owners just changed so the online menu wasnt yet revised to match the in-restaurant menu, but it was ore just the wording and names ( eg. "guac" to "avocado"). Sooo good.

We have been going to Black Bear for years because my daughter loves their California Benedict. The last 3 or 4 times, they have gotten at least one thing in our order wrong...from something as simple as "no onion" to add bacon. The servers have been more than gracious and apologetic for the kitchen mistake, but how many chances should I give them before I just say, let's go somewhere else?

Great Cafe and pie shop. Comfortable place with great service. Had a half meatloaf with salad and pie. I'm stuffed. Everything was great. Try the bread pudding pie. Best I've had. The turkey delite was great as was the soup.
