Nice people, cheap food. Breakfast is the only tolerable meal at this place. Mass quantities of greasy carbohydrate laden sustenance for very little money. No fresh fruit, vegetables or meats. Just one of the numerous clone coffee shops that infest this town.

Can feed 2 people a decent sized breakfast for under $15. They have most of your normal breakfast offerings. We tried out the gyro omlette.. kind of an odd combination of flavors but it was decent. The oatmeal was super good. I would recommend getting that. My husband ordered 2 eggs from the ala carte section and they didn't ask how he wanted them cooked and they came out sunny side up (which was fine, but he would've preferred scrambled). The atmosphere is nothing special. Not updated in any way. Husband made a comment when we walked in that it smelled a bit of cat pee in the restaurant. Not sure if we will be back but if we do I'd get the oatmeal again. Service was friendly. Nice older lady.

Visiting family in the area who are regulars here. Breakfast served all day, the skillets are huge, the food cooked to perfection and the portions large. Very fast and very friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Will likely eat breakfast here every day of our stay.

Freeport has a number of family restaurants and most of them are average or above in quality. And most are cheaper than nearby Rockford prices.I stopped in at 10 for a late breakfast and noticed the large number of breakfast items on the menu...more than most family restaurants provide. Since it was nearly lunch, I ordered a giant hamburger patty instead of sausage or bacon with my three eggs. I always like my eggs over medium, to keep the sopping up of the egg yolk to a minimum. Nobody knows how to cook "over medium", most coming out a version of "over easy". But the cook at Beltline cooked it "over medium" just about perfectly. The meal also came with hash browns, which were tasty, and buttered toast, which was a disgrace. I always order my toast heavily buttered. Not only was it not heavily buttered, it wasn't even butter. Some crappy-tasting margarine. This restaurant is 20 miles from the Wisconsin border...what excuse is there for there not being real butter for breakfast.??? The menu is typical family restaurant fare. The very low prices are what sets this place apart.
