What a disappointment! Used to be a thriving, fun place with a great menu. Not anymore! Itâs dingy, dirty, unfriendly and completely not welcoming. They offer zero options for different diets, and told me the fries were gluten free (âTheyâre potatoes.â) when they are clearly coated in flour. It was freezing in there, the seats are ripped and bare, no one cracked a smile....should have noticed how empty it was and taken that as a hint to go elsewhere. What a shame.

We live in the north end of Maple Ridge and had an overnight power failure which meant going out for breakfast. Our first thought was the Home. We eat here fairly regularly and have never been disappointed. A lot of people must've had the power out because when we got there, there was a lineup at just after 9 in the morning. No problem. They dealt with it quickly and easily by opening up the other side. Even though they were inundated by a larger than normal horde of customers, the staff and servers handled it like professionals. They didn't act rushed, they gave each customer their full attention and were chatty about what everyone was going through, while keeping the coffee cups full. My wife had the two eggs with bacon while I opted for the corned beef hash, which came with strips of perfectly done corned beef on a large bed of shredded potatoes and fried onions with strips of red peppers scattered throughout. And two eggs on top. Absolutely delicious and filling. The portions are so large, we skipped lunch and only wanted something light for dinner. Probably our favourite place in Maple Ridge, although a few weeks ago, I had the meat loaf and it wasn't as good as it usually was. I'll chalk that up to an off day as it's usually excellent.Thank you very much for the kind words. That certainly was a challenging day for everyone involved! We were lucky enough to have power at the restaurant so we could keep the community fed and caffeinated :) We look forward to serving you again.

Have been here for breakfast and dinner and received great service, food and atmosphere both times! The portions are of a very good size and the value is very good! The atmosphere is great and the decor provides a genuine 50s diner experience. There is a range of seating available i.e. at the counter or in booths. The menu selection is great for both food (catering to all tastes for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and drinks (with an extensive soft drink and milkshake menu).

We met friends here for breakfast and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The owners were very visible and walked around making sure everyone was enjoying their meals and had everything they wanted. We will definitely go there again next time we're in town.
