Great way to start our morning! This local dive was one of the best finds on our trip! Small older diner with good friendly service and great food! My omelet was great. My husband had a dish with a mix of sausage, onions and peppers over hash browns smothered in their delicious gravy! My daughter had another dish similar to this as well that was just as good! The biscuits were soft and really good. We were pleased that we had taken the time to find this place!
We just stopped for breakfast here and the food was great and the service even better but the restroom smelled like the sewer had backed up! I really appreciate the "fit" items on the menu with the calorie counts, I wish all restaurants had that!

Good service, good food. Nice waitstaff. Was next to our hotel, which did not have a continental breakfast so this was a great match.

My friends and family had a late breakfast at Connelly's Goody-Goody Diner after walking in the "Sista Strut" walk-a-thon breast cancer fundraiser downtown at the St. Louis world famous Arch in October 2017. We had to wait a long time to get to our table but the staff was very friendly. The food was good for the price. We had breakfast meals, including waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns and fried catfish. Besides the long wait, we were pretty satisfied with our meals for the price we paid. It is a great spot to gather with friends and family. Some of the local politicians and clergy meet up at this spot weekly. The staff has a great sense of humor and are dedicated to good service. However, there is always a line and parking can be scarce at times. Not a lot of seats in the place. Despite that, I would recommend it for some good old american food.

Last time we were in St. Louis, we happened to be driving along St. Charles Rock Road, and I couldn't believe that I spotted a Chuck-a-Burger. My mom used to take my sister and me to one of these on old US 66 in Crestwood 55 years ago after we'd visit the dentist or the now defunct shopping center-mall.We had one of our granddaughters traveling with us, and luckily we hadn't yet eaten supper, so we pulled in and found they still have curb-service though not like it used to be at the Chuck-a-Burger where we used to eat. I had to have my old favorite, the pizzaburger, and we also tried a chicken-fried-steak sandwich and a coney island (no onions, please) along with some shoestring fries and onion rings. I don't remember pineapple shakes being on the menu when I was a kid, but I ordered one of those. My wife got a chocolate malt, and granddaughter an oreo shake. The food was decent, and we had a great time eating in the car; well, at least I did. I even bought a t-shirt.I had no idea any Chuck-a-Burgers were left, but the waitress told me that this one is going strong and really packs in the crowds on summer weekends, especially when they sponsor hotrod and custom car shows.
