Anyone from the Levittown/ Bristol Twp. area knows the name Maryanne's & knows this café serves up some of the best breakfast & lunches in Lower Bucks County. The original place in Croyden, where Maryanne herself sat behind the cash register, was lost to an arsonist several years ago, but that loss resulted in a move to a much larger place in Levittown. The rooms are decorated with Coca-Cola signs, puzzles, clocks & other colorful product memorabilia. The cash register is at the front when you 1st walk in & you are expected to pay at the register, rather than at the table. Specials are listed on the large chalkboard, in addition to their extensive breakfast/ lunch menu. On our most recent visit, my husband ordered scrambled eggs (2) with bacon, whole wheat toast & homefries topped w/ sautéed onion. I chose scrambled eggs & homefries as well, but for my meat selection, I ordered scrapple (offered two ways: 2 thin slices crisp or 1 thick slice - both for the same price). My choice was two thin slices cooked crispy. Our plates arrived heaping full of delicious food & ended with two very happy diners ready to face the day.

Stopped in on a Friday night because we were doing some shopping in the area and just couldnât decide what cuisine we wanted. So a diner usually offers many options which was the case here. The atmosphere is typical diner, not good, not bad. We were seated quickly and the waitress came right over. Brought the beverages quickly and some delicious cinnamon/cheese bread. I have to say that was a highlight! The wife order a chicken fajita wrap with fries which she said was good. Came with soup which was nice. The chicken noodle was pretty standard.I went with chicken croquettes, mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. Came with salad bar which was fresh and well stocked. Also came with soup and I went with cream of chicken rice. Tasted like from a can. The chicken croquettes were all tasteless filler, no chicken. Large but very low quality. Potatoes were okay and the carrots were over cooked to the point of mushy.Had to hunt down waitress for a soda refill too.Overall, I have been to some very good diners with very good food, this is not one of them. Service was okay, fajita wrap was good, chicken croquettes were the worst. In an area where there are so many options, they are going to need to improve their product to survive.

We stopped in for breakfast as we had done before. The service was fine. Can not say the same for food. My wife had to return her waffle. My eggs over cooked and my portion of scrapple was small. I saw no love. Bye Golden Dawn
