The population was 32,770 at the 2010 census. It is the only city in the world with the name of Fairborn, a portmanteau word created from the names Fairfield and Osborn, the two villages that merged in 1950 after the Great Dayton Flood of 1913 forced Osborn to move out of a flood plain and alongside Fairfield.

My first thought after sitting down and looking around was that I was in a "Bowery Boys" movie from the early 1950s. Menu was a laminated sheet of paper offering primarily sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast. Club sandwich was OK, servers seemed more interested in shooting the breeze with friends/regulars that taking care of customers. Prices were reasonable, but looked like everything was a la carte. I'd call the place more unkempt that dirty, but I suppose that's part of the ambience. Nothing special, no real reason to go back.

Local, family owned business. Very dated interior and the ceiling tiles have stains from what appears to be old leaking ? The womanâs bathroom was clean. Service was fast and I think prices were more than fair. Reason I am giving a very good rating as well as I have a very hard time having my eggs cooked the way I like them. Over Medium - whites cooked /yolk runny. They were cooked perfect. Hash was average. Fried potatoes I asked to have onions added. And added hot sauce. Would have used ketchup but the bottle on my table was very dirty. The place was pack on Friday near lunch time.

Any time we can get to go a waffle house we do. We were in the area and saw this so of course...a no Greiner even though our hotel had a hot breakfast. Not disappointed. In fact went for supper then breakfast the following morning. This one was clean, staff friendly and food...well..great.
