83 Diner is a family owned diner with that has been established for more than 30 years. Breakfast is served anytime, the food is homemade, and the service is fast and friendly! 83 Diner is open everyday of the year except Christmas Day. It is located off
Have seen the roadside billboards for the I-83 Diner for many years as we traveled this highway and finally were in the area at the right time to try it out. We were pleasantly greeted and seated. Booths, tables or lunch-counter seating arrangements are available. The menu is quite typical of a truck stop with selections of 'comfort' food and some variety of steaks and seafood. We sampled the 8-oz hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and Cole slaw. The hamburger steak was grilled and OK. The Cole slaw was comparatively dry and lacked flavor. The other entree (breakfast items served all day) was a cheese omelet. This too was 'dry' and lacked flavor. Portions were certainly adequate given the reasonable prices for the food. Restroom was OK.

Came in for dinner. Ordered 2 Greek dinners which entailed Greek salad, spinach pie and grape leaves. Greek salad came with iceberg lettuce, pickles and tomato? It tasted good and the dressing was good but clearly NOT a Greek salad. The spinach pie was one thin layer(never had it served like this before) again it was good but not filling as it was small. Grape leaves were good. Ok good but small portions. Donât know if I would come back.

The White Horse Diner is everything you would expect from an American diner. The décor is somewhat dated, the furniture basic, while the menu has all the staples you would expect. Most importantly the welcome is very warm the whole Diner gives off an air of friendly care and comfort. I stopped off for breakfast early in the morning and ordered the western omelette and it was OK, nothing exceptional but nothing to criticise. The prices are keen. The bathrooms are clean. All in all it is a fine stop as you drive down US30, if you are on your way to Gettysburg, as I was, you will not be disappointed, neither will you feel it is among the finest meals you have ever had.

Called into Mary Janes for breakfast as we were staying with friends close by who have lived here for years yet amazingly have never tried the place...we were not disappointed!!The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the server was infectious in her enthusiasm for her job and knew everything about the menu. A lot of diners in the USA pad out their menus with a bewildering choice of highly similar dishes but the amount of choice here was just right. The Mary Jane special breakfasts are to die for, everything was cooked to perfection and we were not waiting too long. Best of all was the price, the value for money was amazing...bill was $37 for four people, and even after we tipped generously, it was still cheaper than a lot of the soulless chain restaurants in the area. Definitely going back to try out the lunch or dinner menu.

My family drove there from Lancaster today to redeem some gift cards. We arrived around 4:45pm. The doors were locked. There was no sign posted anywhere. We wondered what was going on. Finally, a man approached us from the adjacent parking lot and said six cars had recently left disappointed. Apparently, the restaurant closed early due to Super Bowl. What the heck! Who does that? Who closes without putting up signs in advance, or putting it on their website?? I had called earlier in the day and no one said they were closing early. And there was nothing on their website about closing early. This is just plain RUDE. This establishment obviously does not care about customer service. I am asking the owners to PLEASE refund me the price of the gift cards as I do not want to waste more of my time and gas driving to a place that may or may not be opened in spite of the hours listed on the website. Ridiculous!

This was our first stop of a two week vacation, we enjoyed the meal very much. I donât know if this is a regional thing but we were given a choice of 2 sides one of the choices was pickled beets, where I come from this is more of something we would find on a salad bar, not as side vegetable. But 3 of us got them and they were really Good!! All the food we had was good, the staff was friendly. If Iâm ever in the area again we will definitely stop in!!

We have been voted York's #1 Restaurant, many times, for many years. We home make all of our soups, chop our own fresh salads, prepare the quickest/freshest breakfasts, sandwiches, dinners and late night meals in town.
Great location just off I- 83 and us 30 exit. Huge selection on the menu and large servings at a reasonable price makes this a busy place. This is comfort food at it's finest and they even have scrapple available.

Wanted a good breakfast to start my day of traveling. This is the spot. Not your typical diner for sure. Great staff. The breakfast was quick to come out and the place was packed with guests at 10am on a Sunday. Food was top notch.

It was good. I had their House Omelette that had mushrooms, onions, and bacon. It came with homefries and toast of your choice. A good portion and a decent price with good service. Very busy here for breakfast.Even though it was busy, there is enough staff on hand not to have to wait too long to be served. That's the way to do it!
