Diggers Diner was hard to find because it is tucked away in a small strip of storefronts. But... it was worth the effort locating them because our breakfast was very good. We shared the large Cinnamon Roll covered in cream cheese icing and thoroughly enjoyed it!

As an overseas visitor you want to experience an "original diner". Mel's certainly got the looks with the decor, burgers, lemonades and shakes. That's where the diner's experience stopped being fun, because the food was totally underwhelming. If your main menu item is a burgers, should you not excel in them ? Surely, a good quality burger is not hard to cook ; add to that a fresh bun and some crispy fries . . . that is NOT what we got.

I always heard about lumpys from frienda that lived in the east bay.. finally after years of hearing about this restaurant..i finally got to try this place last year and have been coming back since then! Its a badass diner.. comfy seating and fast service. The servers are super nice and welcoming. Its not too hot and not too cold. For the food.. if you arr looking for delicious, filling, big portioned breakfast this is your place! They do food right.. the french toast and pancakes are sweet and delicious.. chicken fried steak is not greasy! But everything we have ever had here is so delicious and satisfying. For after breakfast and brunch they have delectable burgers, the hot dogs are delicious and topped with some great ingredients.. the fries and onion rings come out hot as hell... also, they have great sandwiches and shakes!!!Lumpys is a place everyone can find something.. from great breakfast.. healthy breakfast..burgers..hotdogs..salads..shakes and of course their famous cinnamon rolls. I love lumpys!
