Really nice family restaurant, authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a clean and cozy environment. The owner speaks perfect English, and she is very caring about your needs and preferences during the meal. She does not simply take the order but also give you recommendations about the best combinations. The portions are big and tasty. definitely worth a visit!

Just had amazing meakls here at this restaurant in the heart of Cat Ba town. Great range of dishes from western, Vietnamese and Italian. We heard about the endangered langurs and the food came out Check out the infamous spring rolls. They were delicious. We tried the honey chicken, satay pork, braised pork and black pepper steak. 5S - Cafe: located on the main road from the center of Cat Ba tourist to the tourist pier to Lan Ha and Ha Long bay. it is a very quiet place, and ideal to sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a quick meal here.

This cafe has not only an astonishing view and a nice-cozy setting, it also has the tastiest mango-pineapple juice I've drunk in my life, the tastiest and cheapest vegetable phò of Vietnam (20k) and the best Vietnamese coffee. One of the worst restauants Iâve ever been to. Greeted by a menu that contains ~100 dishes, it was hard to choose, and when we finally decided over half of what we ordered wasnât available. The staff was not helpful, but what I presume was the owner came to recommend other dishes... they got some of our drinks wrong, and that wasnât such a big problem. But the owner, boss guy was such a pestilence and treated his staff like slaves. The staff was also rather rude and laughed at us, for some reason. Food was some of the worst Iâve ever had, 2 squid dishes were disgusting. Boss man turned on bad music, and the waiters changed it when he left the room, only to turn on party music and turn it up loud, at 12 mid day. at last they charged us double the price of one of the dishes, and also the atmosphere and decorations of the place were phony, ugly and uninviting. When confronted with the mistakes, everything had to be checked by the boss man, and we ended up with an experience we remember, but surely not a very good one.

We started with a water taxi to the restaurant, then selected our dinner from several nets of live seafood. Low key, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food. The restaurant is a bit pricey by Cat Ba standards, but well worth it for the experience.
