The Blarney Stone Restaurant is a family owned establishment featuring great seafood and hearty meals. Proud to be in operation since 1983, we are located on Highway 103 just west of Exit 14 at Hebb's Cross. From our famous seafood chowder to our clams an
We were visiting in the Bridgewater area and looking for a nice lunch. We headed back to the Blarney Stone, knowing we had eaten there before and were happy with our meals. The restaurant was quiet, cozy and inviting, especially with the Christmas tree in the corner.Hubby ordered the Clubhouse sandwich and on the recommendation of the waitress I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day - hamburger soup. Hubby was pleased with his sandwich and I was delighted by the bowl of thick and comforting soup. I had room for dessert so we opted to try the flourless chocolate torte, It was rich and too sweet for my liking but I am sure a devoted chocolate fan would have loved it and the whipped cream it was served with. We like this restaurant. The food is definitely home cooked, fresh and well prepared. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean!Try it..you won't be disappointed.

You walk through the Esso convenience store to find this small diner. Entertainment is provided- with a TV in the corner- but also by watching the staff. Many kitchens are likely run in the same way except that you usually can't see it all. The short order cook is amazing. She moves swiftly and is very good. She keeps the place running- doing all of the cooking and some of the waiting on tables. The waitress handles cash and then without washing her hands prepares salads. A food handling course would be advisable. The place is not clean enough. Tables were not being cleared. And when they were cleared, no one wiped them down before new customers were served. The food was good but until it is more professionally run, don't try this place.

Stopped in here for lunch on a visit to the area. This is a diner..nothing fancy but clean. The menu is not all that large...but they offer breakfast all day, which is always a nice light option. I ordered the soup of the day, which was Tomato Basil, after the served confirmed it was homemade. It was delicious! Tasty, hot and just what I needed on a cold winter's day. It was served with crackers and a warm tea biscuit.Hubby ordered the smoked meat on rye sandwich. It was served with handcut fries. Both were very good.I liked the presentation for both meals. The soup was in a nice white bowl sitting on a a large square platter with the tea biscuit. It was very appealing. The sandwich was on the large platter and the fries were standing on end in a bowl. We did not have dessert although the special dessert was lemon meringue pie, which is always appealing. If in the area we would return
