We had an evening meal here; two adults and a 4 year old. The food, service and setting were excellent. I had hare, which was perfectly cooked and wonderfully tender. My wife had cream of asparagus soup as a starter, also deliciously made and seasoned. It was no more expensive than anywhere else. Would HIGHLY recommend.

- German and Black Forest Food&Drink Specialities - Vegetarian and saisonal Dishes - Large Selections of fresh local Cake and of course our famous Black Forest - Wide range of local Wine and Beer Specialities
such a wonderful surprise - we stopped by having seen a couple of seasonal mushroom dishes and flammkuche on the menu. We were not disappointed. We ordered the mushroom soup and the potato soup, both of which were excellent. Very hot, clearly home-made (in contrast to some terrible oversalted soups you sometimes get, which make me think of cup-a-soups). My soup had delicious mushrooms, and was served with fresh cream and chives. We then shared a mushroom flammkuchen, which was amazing - paper thin, crispy dough and very delicious toppings, but perhaps the biggest surprise was the side salad. We ordered it go get a bit of vegetables in, and were incredibly surprised to find that we had three salads underneath the greens - all very very tasty: a bit of German potato salad and marinated cabbage and carrots. Very simple but without a doubt one of the best salads I've ever had.We finished with tea/coffee and a piece of raspberry yogurt cake. All very good and with other drinks (sparkling water and water/apple juice drink popular in Germany) the total came to under EUR 40! Service was relaxed and friendly.
