Popular local spot. Owned and Operated by local family. Has been in Bend since the 70's. Named Small Business of the year by chamber. Awarded Restaurant Neighbor Award for Oregon.
The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Expect a parade of morbidly obese patrons when you visit ... the word is out about the portions. They used to make the most delicious home made pies for sale. They have apparently ceased dinner service and the pies weren't selling for take home to the breakfast and lunch bunch. A pity.

My wife was looking for breakfast for lunch and Sargent's fit the bill. She ordered the Taco Omelet and since they found the sour cream was not good, they added avocado to it, which was fine. She really enjoyed it. I had Country Fried Steak and Eggs and also really enjoyed my meal. Both of these were under $10, so it is also a bargain. Service was solid and we would gladly dine here again.

Decided to have breakfast here just walking distance from our motel (which served a really subpar breakfast). The place was packed. We were rudely told to stand in line against the wall. Anyway the line moved very quickly. We were seated and the rude introduction was offset by a very friendly and efficient server. The omelette that I had was very good. My wifeâs eggs with corn beef hash was also very good. Serving sizes were not overwhelming. Met expectations. I would try a different place on our next visit.

We did, love everything about it. The decor is wonderful, black bears everywhere, including the three bears waiting at the counter. The copper mural above the counter is awesome. The food was excellent, huge portions. You wonât walk away hunger. The staff was friendly and help. Overall, an A+++++ experience.
