Dunlop Street Diner opened in November 2017 after an extensive renovation of a 150 year old building. The result was a modern family restaurant without losing its heritage feel. The result was a locally sourced menu with "made from scratch" menu items. Fr
I canât say enough great things about this place. First of all, the decor was fabulously modern and clean. The menu was fantastic, food delicious, service wonderful. Would love to go back to try more items.

We are an old school country diner serving up hot, homemade foods. We are all about the breakfast all day long, and some great lunch time favourites too!! Soup, sandwiches, burgers, salads and lots more... Pop on in and stay a while... our friendly server
I am not sure how to comment on this place. The food was good - very good. The staff were attentive and professional, it seemed but the food took forever to arrive.I don't understand the issue in making pancakes, eggs, toast and sausages. Has this become a challenge. I had to ask for our food as my children were hungry and were waiting patiently. Reminds me of Fran's just up the street - oh yes, they closed...So I am not sure what to say. The wait staff were very good so I do not understand..Thank you so very much for your thoughtful review. I canât tell you how sorry I am that you waited for your food. I am not sure what day or time you were there, but I will say that we do our very best to move every order out as quickly as possible, We are not a franchise with massive staff, and we prepare every meal fresh. Which is why your food was very good. It also depends on the orders ahead of yours and a multitude of other factors all of which are not of the customers concern, but a variable in every day for us. We care about each order and each customer. I hope things were good enough that you will visit again... thankfully, most do. And rest assured, we will not end up like Franâs. They wee franchise.... we are proudly a country diner in a very supportive community. Thank you again for your review... I am so happy you enjoyed the food and lovely service.

We were having our vehicle serviced at Ford just up the street so they recommended we try this for breakfast while we waited. The restaurant was busy with lots of people, the service was friendly and attentive. They have a great menu with lots to choose from! Coffee was good....my husband had the blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon and I ordered the poached eggs with bacon and potatoes. The pancakes came with 'blueberry sauce' not actual blueberries and covered in whipped cream, which my husband would have preferred not to have, but he said they were good! Our bacon was still slimy so we had to send that back to get 'snapping crish', like we asked for...it came back crisp, but almost burnt...my poached eggs were perfect and the potatoes were plentiful and tasty. All in all, good but not great! The service was perfect though. Lots of room for couples, small groups or large families. Thanks for your valuable feedback, we will make a note of the suggestions and aim to get a great review next time you visit us! Looking forward to serving you soon - TBH Team

I had ordered a small breakfast, My husband ordered hamburger & fries . I ended up being served a full breakfast with 3 TINY eggs deep fried homefries ( yuck ) and bacon chips, bacon pieces looked like bacon ends. Husbands burger was frozen Patty and frozen fries , something you would expect out of a hungry man frozen dinner. Waitress was excellent though. This less than appetizing meal including a small chocolate milk came out to $33.85 !

Went in there & the owners brother served us. My sister had a ciatic nerve very bad that she could not sit down. She spilled her tea & instead of telling him she went to get napkins to clean it, he says well that's 10 dollars worth of napkins. Then when came to pay he asked 1 or 3 she said one. Handed him her 10 bucks & said that's not enough then he yelled at her & said to her you deal with it, We have not been back since. Wow Sue, that's quite the interpretation of events you have there. Lol. I suggest you talk to your sister, as we were all clearly joking and she was quite amused. And it was I that served you, I am the owner.

We are located on the corner of Essa & Ferndale, and their phone number is 705-733-1403. They have an amazing breakfast and lunch menu. Truly one of our local gems!
Stacked Pancake House in Barrie always serves up their offerings quickly and with a smile. Their specials of the days are solid, usually offering a sandwich/wrap and a soup for $9.99, that's a good price. The staff is always very friendly and I enjoy the warm atmosphere while eating in or taking out. It's more of a local stop to enjoy, I'd say. For a good breakfast and or brunch, Stacked is worthy of your consideration!!
