Quirky cafe. Two entrances each with their own dining room . They don't connect. The kitchen is between them. We were on the quiet side.Lots of great breakfast foods but it was lunchtime. My husband decided he wanted the double cheese burger. The waitress raised her eyebrow and kindly said, "You know, we're known for our handmade burgers. They're quite large. Do you want a double? Do you want lettuce, tomatoe, onion, and a pickle on them?" My husband said " yes".Being a vegan with wheat allergies, I ordered the three fresh veggie side dishes which were my only option. My veggies were warm canned veggies. What a disappointment. However the double cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and enormous! You wouldn't have gotten your mouth around the single and you could barely pickup and hold the double. One ding - the tomatoes etc were add on costs, not mentioned. Their prices for Vermont maple syrup were excellent.

We are a family diner that seats 50-60 people. We do take reservations for parties of 5 or more. Our soups are homemade and we try our best to make everyone feel like they are dining at home. Stop in and try one of our daily specials or you can enjoy a me
We love trying new lunch stops when we are out on our motorcycles. Judging by the number of cars parked around we figured this was a popular place. The parking lot is paved which is a plus for a motorcyclist. The place was just about full but the waitresses were friendly and quick. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and split pea soup. You get a lot of food for very reasonable prices. The location couldn't be better - right at the corner of Vermont, New York, and Canada.Thank you Shirley! Yes, we are a very popular place. Weâve been there over nine years, myself and the staff strive to make every diner have a great dining experience. My head cook has been with me for almost nine years also and he makes all our soups homemade. Weâre glad you had a great experience and we hope you stop in again.

We came before the breakfast rush. The bakery case desserts looked outstanding. There was a nice menu selection but the three-egg omelets seemed to be using small eggs. The décor didnât scream âVermontâ or âMapleâ.

Our annual visit to Lake Champlain always includes a visit to this establishment. We both had a salad and the special of the dinner Chicken Parmesan with penne. The salad was fresh and tasty. The entree was HUGE and flavorful. Dessert is always a must and our attentive and personable server, Laurie was able to bring the finishing touch to our meal home made warm rice pudding. It was delicious.
