We literally stumbled upon this place by chance. After a long day of tromping all over Luxembourg and Belgium looking at WWII sites, we were on our way back to Wiltz. Being vegetarian, I was having a hard time finding somewhere to eat in Wiltz that wasn't a pizza place. I suggested Clervaux as we had been to this town the day before and it seemed like they might have more places to choose from. We landed here with the pleasant surprise of having 2 vegetarian choices listed on the menu!!Although we didn't have reservations, they were able to accommodate us immediately. Our waiter was very kind and patient with our French and our food came out promptly! My husband had a trout that had been caught locally and I had a vegetable souffle that was melt in your mouth delicious. After dinner, the chef (who is also the owner) came out to talk to us. He is the 3rd generation owner of the hotel and restaurant and was very personable and welcoming. In fact - I was sorry that we hadn't booked a stay in the hotel! I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant experience with outstanding service.

Our first dining experience at Jan Thai was a pleasant surprise in a small town of Bastogne with limited option for ethnic cuisine. As other reviewers have noted, this small restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere with well decorated interior and warm hospitality of the owner, whose pride and commitment for top quality service clearly showed. We sampled several dish ranging from soup to salad as well as main dish. All were fairly authentic in taste and presentation but not too different than any good Thai restaurant would offer. The only downside of our experience was the time it took for us to have our main course. There was more than 30 minutes of break between our appetizer and main dish. I did notice that the restaurant was almost full. Nonetheless, this was unusually long wait for a small restaurant. Also, i thought the price was on a high end, most main dish being closer to â¬20. A family of 4 would easily go over â¬100 for dinner. I would return to this place so long as I have enough time because the taste is good and service is pleasant. I wouldnât suggest it to folks who have limited time on their hand.

Rindschleiden is the name of a little village lost in time and lost in the North of Luxembourg.Nice surroundings for a walk or visit the rural museum "Thillenvogtei" situated close to the bistro and the local church and cemetry. The "bistro" is located in a well renovated stable. Inside it is very small and cozy (candles on the tables), outside terrace available in summer.Ambiente and welcome are excellent.FOOD was ok (a lot of deep fried stuff/starters and "hamburgers", but also ham served with salad and French fries). DRINKS are on the expensive side (for example a glass of Lux. white wine from the Moselle costs 8 Euros).
