Just across from the Newport Pier/parking lot, this conveniently located deli serves delicious espresso drink and breakfast burritos. We were there early am so perfect. But their lunch menu looked varied and interesting Thank you for the kind words!

The Galley Cafe is a staple of the Newport Beach/Balboa area. Being off the beaten path doesn't keep people from finding it or returning for great, home-style cooking and wonderful service. When you visit during the popular eating times there will be a wait for a table, but there is a large bench outside for that purpose. Everyone tends to chat while waiting so the time passes quickly. Parking can be a challenge as well but if you're serious about getting some great food, you'll figure it out.

In boat yard they did their best to make location attractive. Famous for homemade sausage so we ordered same, could hardly taste it. Marinara sauce was bland, noodles not home made. Service sells the place India was professional and worked to make us comfortable, I am Roman and this is "wanna be Italian". Go to il Farro near pier in Newport, better food less expensive.

We stayed in a hotel around the corner and read the reviews and they all seemed good. This place was awesome.

Great flavor of the pastrami, not too fatty, unfortunately the pastrami was stringy; the deli mustard was ok, and the rye bread was fresh, with good texture, soft and crusty. No veggies in this sandwich, but the pickle was a perfect salty, garlicky spear. Parking here may not be easy. In the high rent district of the Coast Highway, so prices are reflective. Most reviews like Gary's better than Gallo further south on PCH, but Gallo's pastrami isn't stringy, tastes just as good, and has more meat at a similar price, with free cheese of your choice. Gary's does have fries, salads and a nice selection of ice cream, which are absent at Gallo's.
