We went as a family for a late breakfast. Prices were absurd! $14. for avocado toast and $12. for oatmeal? Waitress was totally apathetic. Never offered coffee refills, no water, and barely squeeked out a smile. Another waiter was seen walking with his thumb inside the pitcher of iced coffee...(ewe). I will never return. So many great places in New Canaan.

Don't expect attentive service at this small local eatery. Orders are taken at the register and you'll probably stand and wait while your food is prepared. Seating is at closely packed Cafe style tables. There's nothing exceptional about the food, but it's not a bad choice if you are planning to visit silvermine art center across the road. I agree with the reviewer who said the owner acts poorly to customers. He once admonished me for asking if there was any soup, since the soup season was over!!! (Who knew one can only eat soup in the dead of winter?)

This is my husband's favorite place. They toast the bread perfectly, the thin pickle slices are wonderful and the sandwich is piled high with your chosen meat selection. The shredded lettuce is great. We love this spot, even though its a bit pricey.
