We started with mojitos, classic and strawberry which were both delicious(definitely recommend)!!To eat we had the "suggestion" linguine aux gambas geante. It was the most delicious dish and wish we were not leaving the next day as I would have eaten it again! Super friendly waiters who made the meal a joy. Wish I could go back!BonjourLa direction et l ensemble du staff tenons à vous remercier pour votre commentaire.A bientôt nous l espérons

We thought we'd give this place a go as it was the only restaurant within easy (2 minutes easy) walking distance of our hotel. We're glad we did because we went back there twice more in our week in L'Ile Rousse. The place has a very relaxed and informal, at times almost quirky, atmosphere. The owner/head chef is from Martinique and is a charming woman who speaks excellent English if you're struggling with your French. Her specialities are creole and other highly flavoured dishes. We enjoyed meals of beef and chicken with noodles and five spice sauce, a swordfish starter in batter which was delicious and was accompanied by a sweet chilli dip and an outstanding (but really quite hot) crab dish as a main one evening. There is what you might call more conventional French food on offer too. Elaine's main one evening of grilled langoustine was beautifully cooked and presented, delicious and contained the largest two langoustine I've ever seen on one plate! The menu is quite small, limited to what they chalk up on a blackboard that they bring to your table (it's that informal). Good selection of wines that compare very favourably with the prices in the restaurants in the centre of the town.So if you are feeling adventurous in your choice of food and don't mind a laid back (but extremely friendly and helpful) approach to service, this place is well worth a try. We would definitely go back there. I think the place has only been open for a couple of years, and the premises look like the place wasn't a restaurant originally. I wish them well for the future. If you're a guest in the hotel Davia, this place is virtually on your doorstep. If you're in town, it's a short car/taxi ride up the hill from the centre but a good twenty minute walk. I'd say it's very definitely worth going off piste a wee bit to try this place.
