The beautifully appointed street offers easy access to the vintage wooden and glass doors to KBC.The interior does not disappoint. Notice the attention to mix old and new.The beautiful wooden doors , mirrors and tables. The menus are located In the center of the store on a wooden table. You que to the register where your order is taken. The â bakeryâ is a small table top glass case ... the day we visited two types of cookies( small flat cakes!)were offered. A coconut topped cookie and CHOCOLATE CHIP... huge Delicious. Crunchy perimeter with gooey chocolate chips. Wow!Our lunch order: chicken salad sandwich, southern fried chicken sandwich and hamburger two sides were fries one the potato salad. Each item had layers of flavors. The selections were cut in half... and enjoyed later! Very very good.Downside: you have to stand at counter to order. There were many wait staff around. My impression is sit down, be served, enjoy the ambience and delicious food. This is s definite stop next time in Dothan.

The River Nile is a local family owned restaurant established in 2000. We are located in the beautiful historic Windmill Station on Headland Avenue Dothan Alabama. Serving the best homemade soups, breads, pastries around. Coffee and Espresso bar is wonder
We were looking for a change from the "Chains" restaurant scene, more "hometown flavor". They got that part right. We arrived and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. We were addressed by two different servers, each unaware of what the other had done. We ordered the Pharoah and Shrimp Corn Chowder (which was the "soup of the day"). The order itself was in the kitchen for 26 minutes. When it arrived the kitchen guy dropped it on our table without comment. The sandwich was good, but the soup was chicken veggie. We were very hungry by then so we ate without complaint. Only after we were finished did the server approach us and tell us they were "out of soup of the day". Then we asked about dessert. They were out of cake. He said we don't know when we will get one in". Sadly this restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. Couldn't help noticing while waiting for our food. Quaint is good, but this place needs a good cleaning to remove the chains of dust hanging from the overhead A/C vents.

We went for a quick lunch. There seemed to be a change in the menu as my usual was not listed. I had a stuffed potato a little different but I enjoyed. The rest of the family reallly enjoyed their choices. Sweet tea is always the best. I would recommend.
